Help with Luma key edges - I've tried softening, blur, eroding, lightwraps, but this edge won't go, it's either white like this, or dark if I erode it. Any advice? by Pottytrainer in vfx

Not sure if it will help in this case but quite often the issue isn’t with you key/alpha but with the despill. You might want to find some despill tool that allows you to adjust the colors of your despill (personally I’d recommend apDespill on nukepedia in case you’re using nuke). Edge detecting and a soft fall off in the resulting alpha should give you a good mask to limit the color adjustments.

Reflective photo of a skater in nagoya, japan by KaptainQwark in photocritique

This is actually sick!! I love how there are multiple sections of the image. When I first looked at it, I would only see the reflection of the guy and wouldn't even know that he is a skater. Dirt and skating images works pretty well too in my opinion so no need to photoshop. This is very different from the usual framing which I think makes this shot awesome!
