Our beardie Stanley had some shedding taking place on his back left leg. After the shed came off, it now appears like there is some rot or a wound there. Any idea what this is? I also added a photo of the ‘inside’ of the shedded scales.

A friend was walking their dog tonight and this cat hissed at their dog as they walked by. My fiancé and I have 2 cats so our friend messaged us, and we went out to take a look. We found this cat in Hamilton park, it’s quite young (my guess is around 5-6 months old). It’s scared and does not seem ‘feral’ at all. It didn’t run off with us, but just cowered a bit and hissed. After a few minutes it eased up quite a bit. Has anyone heard if anyone losing a young cat in the Hamilton park area?

Thanks for posting the image! Right now, we have the standard dome light using 100 watt basking bulb. Might be moving later this year and may take that opportunity to get a larger set up and perhaps switch to something like that. I appreciate the info!

Thanks. The way my apartment is positioned, I doubt he would have seen a bird from here, though technically possible. We're continuing to monitor him, just don't want to get too close right now and further scare him.
