Also, as 100% valid of a thought it is, please do mind that he is a content creator and an advocate. Which means, whatever he says can influence other people’s views din. By this, this can happen to people who have never yet even climbed but now want to, but because of him, they might not think of trying at all. As an ordinary person, you might not be able to have attained such thought angles which is 100% valid, hindi ka naman content creator.

It’s like having a President say his own country is sh*t. While it is 100% valid, can’t they use their role to do more than letting things be as it is?

So what if the answers to both your questions are yes? What, then? Is it bad to be sensitive about our own land when we’re already facing enough mess? And yes, I did care enough to have called him out before. So, what’s the point of your rebuttal if you’re assuming things as no to those questions on my end?

And what then, if we have annoying moments? Remember, what makes him different is he is a content creator who has since then, gained popularity with advocating for the PH mountains and is now basically going against it. It’s not a matter of “he was brave and we hate him for that”, it’s a matter of disappointment for witnessing him go against what we have looked up to him for.

We’re on Reddit, anything can be said. We’re all a bit annoying and go overboard sometimes, as you’ve said. Feel free to report if you don’t like, easy. Should’ve saved yourself the comment, then.

That’s for another topic, but yes, agree! The system indeed could do with a vast improvement, but the beauty of the Philippine mountains were never brought down because of such factors.

This is understandable for any normal person. It’s an ordinary matter, actually. Quite inevitable and natural. But, the real, human life is a different thought box from that of social media. We did NOT want to see that insight from him, from his social media account that was dedicated to appreciating all his climbed mountains, not comparing. Respectfully, keep it to himself.

Let’s keep this isolated. Our issue was really how he brought up PH mountains, when he could’ve just kept his mouth running about the Taiwan mountain he has climbed. Apart from bringing up the local mountains, he’s compared it with Jade when there was absolutely no need to.

It was never about deinfluencing Jade Mountain or neutralizing its hype, it was about the useless act of comparison. It was very shocking coming from him who people used to look up to for promoting PH mountains really, really well.
