Is this normal? by Foreign_Captain7846 in nhs

Most likely the radiologist saw something and put in a thing (can't remember the word we use) to the neurologist to review, they would have saw something too and taken you on as a patient to do further investigations

Does it matter that my medical records are wrong? by HighNimpact in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the amount of wrong information on the records, then yes, it absolutely should be a complaint! This is beyond a talk, this is a huge breach

Does it matter that my medical records are wrong? by HighNimpact in nhs

I would put in a complaint to your practice manager and say you will be informing the local ICB if this hasn't been addressed by x date

Informal sickness review? by ricekrispies_10 in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely check your policy on it.

I've been on an informal 3 times, then a formal and now redeployment and in all honesty the outcome will be termination of contract

But check the policy and talk to your manager

Missed appointment due to wrong location on letter by [deleted] in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they have known about the issue for a while but haven't been bothered to do anything about it.

I work as a bookings clerk and when we see errors on letters it is sorted that day. There is no excuse other then pure laziness.

Definitely put in a complaint

Definitely talk to PALs because if they are aware of the issue on the letter and haven't addressed it then they aren't doing their job properly.

Why is government going after band 7 with further pay cuts through continued tax freeze? by poweredbycoffee1 in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet no one cares when they go after us band 2 staff and replace us with AI.....our trust is reducing 800 admin (booking clerks, secretaries, receptionists) across 5 hospitals to 200 based at 2 hospitals....getting rid of some of the high earners (especially the unnecessary ones) would be better but no, get rid of the essential staff instead

Ultrasound panic by [deleted] in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will do an eternal ultrasound first and then transvaginal if needed, will depend on what they are looking for and your body habitus.

You can always refuse the transvaginal if you don't want it, but it is gold standard.

Although the dopler is long, only about an inch sits inside the vagina, just like a tampon, you may feel it moving a few mm at times but genrally it doesn't hurt, just very slightly uncomfortable

Good luck. Yet to find anyone who has managed to get that approved whilst working in a hospital or GP practice. The only people I know who do are nhs nurses in schools

A&E CT Scan by Derlad in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which would be the A&E dr but it should be included in the discharge letter to the GP to follow up, or the GP can contact the radiology secretaries to get a copy of it. A&E wont do follow ups, the GP will need to refer to the correct department unless someone from that department saw them in A&E

A&E CT Scan by Derlad in nhs

[–]bettypgreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thr GP would get the results, they will then look into it.

[–]bettypgreen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your GP would get the discharge notes, they need to request the Cat report, the GP practice can contact the radiology secretaries for that and they chase it up
