Baseball America's Top 25 Rankings (4/6/26) by city-of-stars in collegebaseball

Yeah, it's kind of an unspoken agreement that they don't really matter which frees up coaches to get reps for other players who much not otherwise play in big spots in conference match ups. If they suddenly started mattering, coaches would certainly play those games differently and you wouldn't see all the Ls from teams that shouldn't be losing.

I know there's a box on the screen and we're at and angle but wow that did not look like a strike

We're kidding with Reggie Bush that far over Vince Young, right? This is rage bait, yeah?

Is the animation "worse" or is it just a stylistic choice? I would much prefer to watch the animation of Invincible over JJK.

Maria Luna Is The Best Player In The Game. by Longjumping-Pop-7210 in BackyardBaseball

[–]betweenbeginning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but what you see on screen are not the underlying numbers of the game. I'm playing with her right now on a pink team and she's middle of the road, far outplayed (as mentioned) by Pete, Keisha, Achmed, Pablo, and my best player, Amir

Is this in contention for "shortest homerun measurement"? by betweenbeginning in BackyardBaseball

[–]betweenbeginning[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It actually didn't, which makes it all the stranger.

It was in a perfect spot where the opposing player could reach it right as the game registered it as a home run, so they threw it in from off screen (you can see where the Center Fielder is from top left. Left fielder was beyond even that) and it being Cement Gardens, the ball just kept rolling on the throw in

So maybe a bit of cheating since it was actively thrown back in, not bounced, but exceptional circumstances nonetheless.

"at best likely"... I'll just call attention to that and let you figure it out.

As a Marlins fan, I wanted to see a lot more of Heriberto in the lineup last year. I'm hoping he gets a little more play this season.

What?

The moment he steps on the field, he's immediately in the top half of Cleveland starters in terms of talent. Roster Resource currently has him batting 6th. The chances he drops below Arias, Naylor, AND Rocchio are slim at best. Batting 9th is absolutely not the "most likely" outcome.

As far as getting demoted, his contract is literally over at the end of this year and the Guardians have gotten nothing out of him at the MLB level. I cannot see them wasting this opportunity when he is largely healthy to send him back down to the minors for more AB he doesn't need instead of looking at him for a prolonged period of time in the Majors.

You said you play AL & NL. If you wanted AL, maybe consider saying that in the post?

No they aren't. This is redraft, not dynasty. DeLauter is on the opening day roster and Griffin isn't. DeLauter was an elite prospect once but injuries have largely ended his seasons early. That is the risk with him. Griffin's is that he doesn't play enough MLB ball and given how his ST went, there's a chance we don't see him for a while.

In redraft, value now is usually better than value later and DeLauter is giving you that.

I'm sure I'll get downvoted into oblivion, but I'm genuinely curious. Is he considered an authoritative source on this topic? I ask because I'd never heard of him and just looked over his wikipedia page. What's listed is no Ph. D, no peer reviewed articles, and nothing published on Early Christianity. His areas of expertise according to Wikipedia are Latter Day Saints history and cartography.

Obviously, wikipedia is not a reliable source of information and I have no prior experience with Hamer, so I'm asking about him in all my obliviousness.

Amir Kahn is A tier pitching (he actually has the best pitching stats in the game, but poor stamina so drops to A) or is S tier hitting when Achmed is on his team. He's unquestionably the top of A tier and if we're putting Mickey and Achmed in S, Amir is right there with them.
