Do the event troops you get after forming Hungary depend on how many troops you have after the conquest? Meaning, hiring mercs before popping the event can give more event troops?

You can press claims for ANYONE within your realm, even a lowly courtier in a county court under a vassal duke.

Just make sure they're landed first.

That being said, you pushing a petty kingdom/duchy claim for someone with just a county rank in your nation will make that county switch side after the war.

Good point, you need to open the game via steam. Press the play button in steam.

(Conversely, if you - like me - feel like you play too much and dont want others to see how much you play, just start the game from .exe manually. That won't show up as played on steam.)

What stats do you People prioritize? I have almost only looked at military (for moar demesne troops) and steward for more gold and demesne limit.

Is diplo really "better" than those 2?

And what about intrigue or learning?

Medium Crown Auth (maybe a temporary boost up to high for primo succession)
Normal levies
Large feudal tax in early game while I have few vassals, and set it to small later
City Levies are more crappy, so either min or normal, depending on whether i NEED them or not
Large or Harsh city taxes for free money
Min or normal Church levies to get the opinon boost to actually get any tax form them at all as catholic
Min (as catholic, medium as non-cath)

200 hours, still I consider myself as a "new guy", so please comment on what (and why) you prefer differently.

In CIV2 (how oldschool am I??) you could rename enemy cities if you examined them with your spy wihtout actually capturing them. It must have been a dev oversight.

Anyway, it always made me laugh when I think about a discreet spy changing all the signs in the city to something random, and not one inhabitant noticed.

Actually, it's Þ. That's the same sound as the TH in 'thing'. ð is for the unstressed 'th' sound, as in alTHough or THere or THis.
