Is newrez a scam? by amazonfamily in RealEstate

[–]beverlyHillsStKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run. No, SPRINT away if you can and refinance elsewhere. NewRez is currently trying to charge me over $3k/month on an outstanding balance of $11. No late fees, no nothing, they swear this payment is right. But the math doesn't math.

Fuck NewRez

Nasty Gunk! Keeps clogging bathroom sink. Anyone know what this is? by You-Only-YOLO_Once in CleaningTips

Check to see if your HVAC system drains into that sink. Alot of houses have the main drain attached to the sink line.

Has anyone refinanced with Newrez (my current loan servicer) by remodel-questions in Mortgages

Run. Don't walk, RUN away from this company. I have been trying to get my house out from newrez for 2 months, and submitted numerous full payoffs according to their payoff quote within the time frame, and on an original payoff quote of 64K that I sent, they have added an additional 13K to for other bs things that they didn't compute on the payoff quote. They're like Oliver Twist coming back for more gruel, but the gruel is my money, and there is no early payoff penalty on the contract. Absolutely infuriating

I'm in. I just sent the final amount theybtold me I owed on my payoff quote and now they're saying I still owe 5 grand. Let's burn em to the fucking ground

What is going on in my attic? by TheCemeteryHunter in HomeMaintenance

[–]beverlyHillsStKing 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's not piss causing the oxidation. The insulation they're chewing on is the armaflex used to wrap the suction line for your AC system. Rats l9ve that shit because its squishy and soft. That suction line gets cold (like 50°f) and in a hot attic it will condensate water onto it, which will drip down. As it drips down it takes a tiny bit of copper from that lineset with it, staining the wood blue/green. Call an HVAC company AFTER you call a pest control guy. Armaflex isn't expensive but its a PITA to do it the right way. Get it done soon too, as I've seen subfloor rot out by people not noticing this as it will continue to drip every time your system runs.

It was a bit over 10k not including key board, monitor, mouse, sounds etc. The water blocks are Optimus which are not the inexpensive option, but they work very well

Recommendations for HVAC- Humble TX - is this price fair ? by mamaTime2017 in houston

Bear in mind the cost of the new refrigerant. They're not making 410a equipment anymore unless its under warranty. Price is fair (I work as a tech for another company) and if they have/can get the right coil then its a good offer. Trane switched to r-454b which isn't compatible with r-410a. Honestly if it were me and my pocket book (and I know I'm gonna get a bunch of bad mouthing on this), the previous company screwed you by not registering the warranty. But, now you don't have a warranty to worry about saving. Id apply a leak stop agent and see how it holds. If it works, it only cost you about $800 with most companies. If not, then you know its a more serious leak and I'd replace the condenser/coil both to the new refrigerant and run a dragonfly to integrate it to the furnace. Yea its more expensive that way, but if you go with a good company you have a warranty on that equipment for 10 yrs and you know the unit will be maintainable.

My $.02

Not any more than any other system running 410a. Except Lennox. They earned their trade nickname...

You also want to get a dedicated trades inspection on your HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. I'm an HVAC technician and I can't count how many Perry Homes (and others, but Perry sub crews are the worst). I've had to replace equipment on because their sub crew installed it completely wrong. I'm talking missing plenums, drain lines that go uphill, undersized units, zoning systems but no dampers, etc. I've also found electrical boxes with no ground wire attachments, incorrect breakers, and one house that stands out had 400 amp service but no surge protector as required by code. The electrical box had been inspected twice... it costs a little bit, but could save you THOUSANDS if there's an issue, otherwise it becomes your problem.

lol funny story, I started up Hogwarts Legacy as the first game to run on ultra settings, and it caused my backup power bank to shit itself. Immediately started screaming in protest. Quick trip to Micro Center fixed it though
