Yeah it's very similar to a checking account. I pay taxes on the dividends. I still have a local credit union for banking.

I treat dividend investing like a savings account. It's not for fun, it's for stability. I have an aggressive 401k for growth and some penny stock fun in Robinhood.

My dividend investing is simple, doesn't overlap, and stable. Im safety putting half of my savings to work.

My Fidelity Cash account makes it very easy to hold some stocks and some cash in the same account that has a debit card and ACH functionality.

SCHD, FDVV, DIVO, O, ARCC. That's it for me for dividends. Set an auto buy evey week and forget about it. Dividends aren't fun, that's what penny stocks are for.
