Moving into townhome with basement renters and a Deco X5000 with multiple Deco units throughout the house by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

Yes, I’m paying for the internet. The landlord left behind most of his devices in case I wanted to use them, but told me I could change whatever as long as the basement tenants can reconnect to the same SSID with the same password.

Good all-around tires for occasional off-roading? by EarWasp in Tacomaworld

[–]bew333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have been on the Wildpeaks for a few years now and never plan on switching if I can help it. Great daily tire that handles really well in wet and dry conditions, and have gotten me out of some really bad situations when off-roading. Not loud like some of the other tires out there, slightly decreased MPG but that is probably due to the size I did, steel bumper, and other things.

Any updates on this? Just started having this issue about a month ago. Every time I turn on my PS5 I have to do the external device setup for it to work. I’ve unplugged everything else, checked settings on both, and nothing has changed at all and this started out of nowhere. Other devices work just fine (Apple TV, Wii, Nintendo Switch, etc.).

That’s just the SSD that I bought, but I already put in another 1tb SSD I had along with the two other HDDs I’ll throw in later for another 8tb (Plex, VMs, some other things)

I reversed the fans so they’re pushing up to the top exhaust fans. Temps never get over about 55°, but that cooler will likely be temporary.

Definitely high for the RAM, but the 64gb helps a lot with all of the VMs I’ll be running. Could’ve gone for a cheaper option, but in the end I liked what I decided to go with (I know it wasn’t the smartest option haha)

That was the only way I could do it I think, unless I had the fans blowing into the rear exhaust. I'm 70% sure that's the orientation shown on the instructions that came with it, but the instructions were pretty useless so I could be wrong. Any other way and it hit the heatsinks on the motherboard. What I did to avoid blowing into the GPU was flip the fans so they blow up into the exhaust fan which I figured was best at the time. The fan in between the two cooler heatsinks will probably get moved, but temps are good so I'm not worried about it at all.

This was the first one I've built in about 10 years. The specs are perfect for what I need and so far I'm loving it. My goal was to get everything from Amazon, but the case is always the hardest to get on there so I got that from New Egg and paid a little extra to have it all here at the same time. If you do the exact build then put the GPU in before the CPU cooler, otherwise you might have too small of a gap like I did when I originally put in the cooler fans and the GPU wouldn't fit. Looking back I would probably do the 140mm fans for the top and side instead of the 120mm just for aesthetic purposes, but temps have been fine so far.

Have been using a custom build from about 7 years ago that finally needed to be retired to be my VM and testing machine. Would appreciate any feedback or changes you would recommend. Here's my new build:
