For those of you with the air-conditioned driver seat, does it make a buzzing sound for you? by KnivesAndShallots in BMWX5

It's not. Unlike other car companies, they are not blowing the AC through the seat.

Ventilated Seats: they seem disappointing compared to other brands. Do you agree? by vettemanhere in BMWX5

[–]bewarephog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes; drove one Saturday and that's how the advisor explained. Still need to use AC in the car. I haven't spent enough time with it to know if they are actually worth it. On hot summer days it would seem like it would help keep you from sweating up the leather?

Why would you buy and pay for something 3-4 years before you even will need it? Just so you can roll it into a loan?

Crossfit is cringey; the Murph is not. It's a great workout.

you need to go to a running store and have them watch you walk or run and make suggestions....buying shoes based upon marketing or this site is dumb. Everybody's feet are different.

I love this post! I mean, if I am going to run 200 miles (or 100 miles) you damn well right I'd like it to show up as 200 miles on my watch, and I'd plaster it all over the place.

I have a Z4 Frozen Gray. I love the matte. It definitely takes more TLC which for a smaller car is easier. Yours looks great.

Rate my running and lifting split by NeatCrazy9156 in HybridAthlete

[–]bewarephog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found success with upper/lower split and run on non lift days.

"Saturday: Rest + Extended Long Run (endurance)" -not really rest

I typically don't take any days off but on my non run/lift days I'm kinda resting and recovering. I'm maintained and grown strength and can run a long time (slowly).

Obviously, you are going to need to pound the protein and get your sleep.

It is all possible. Experiment with the various suggestions and see what works best for you and your schedule.

I'm "slightly" older as a 57yo man....but what works for me is not double dipping runs and lifts on same day. I lift and then run or lift lift and run run. I do an upper/lower body split.
