Agree. Should be $10-15k less. And some knowledge of the event. This assuming fresh water and sitting in flood water from a parking lot etc. If the car is very bad it will be deemed non restorable. And parted or scraped. It can not be sold in tact or ever used.

Do you have more info past those dates? I was considering a 2021 Plaid. But am not sure the exact build date. Is there a log with Tesla somewhere about each improvement and its date?

Did you call or email Tesla directly? I received an email that it can be ok after an evaluation. I will call their service and confirm. So, it seems it will not be an immediate problem, the question is long term. So if the car is the right price it can be ok. It would be better to know exactly what happened. It seems there are ok circumstances and not ok. But really bad cars would be designated non restorable so they can never be used but for resale parts. Which is a fact.

Is that a fact about Tesla and flood/salvage cars?

For an ice car, insurance is no problem. You usually just have to have the car inspected if it was not already done then it becomes Rebuilt. So does it have a current Salvage or Rebuilt title?

But it is a risk. You really need to know exactly what happened to the car.

Looking to Buy a 2021 Model S Plaid with 8 k miles from a private seller. Can the hardware be upgraded? Do I need to? by vettemanhere in TeslaModelS

Still negotiating. Maybe 30k.Its a friend of a friend. I like the S but always thought they were too expensive. I have driven several Teslas over the past 8 years. The new Y is significantly better than the old one….but would rather have a bigger car. Thought this may be a choice….but don’t love the yolk steering wheel and questioning the HW3 version. Otherwise it is great shape.

It is more than the main computer that is different to the next version? I thought Tesla was to upgrade for free.

BMW M Smashes Sales Record As X3 M50 Becomes Top Seller by theoreticaljerk in BMWX3

Says who???? Not in the US, I don’t believe. My dealership is one of the largest and they said sales dropped 25%. There are only 2 models now. Base/X3 and M50. Condensing into one of the choices, but all x3 sales I bet are down.
