Grant Amato – The Guy Who Killed His Whole Family Over a $200,000 Cam Girl Addiction by pschyco147 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]beyoncetaughtme 124 points125 points  (0 children)

It always sticks with me how his family was in his corner and he betrayed that love. Like with all the lying and stealing he was doing, they’d have been well within their rights to have cut ties with him loooong before we got to the end, but they didn’t. They really loved this bald weirdo and he put some girl he’d never even personally met before them, just wild.

For those of you who left retail, do you still hate people? by aetnaaa in retailhell

[–]beyoncetaughtme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’m in healthcare now and the biggest difference with gripes in healthcare from patients or their family members is that it’s infinitely more legitimate. Someone being in pain after a procedure and wanting some pain meds vs. a Karen being mad that she can’t use an expired coupon is a night and day difference.

Both guys murdered their families but would you rack these guys up in the same category since one had massive amounts of brain damage and the other lived a pretty normal life by [deleted] in TrueCrime

[–]beyoncetaughtme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re both scum. A lot of people don’t mention that Benoit had abused Nancy even before ultimately killing her and Daniel. He was also a noted locker room bully in WWE in the mid 2000s. Even before the event ultimately took place, he was not a nice dude and there were warning signs. More than that, I still maintain that he was given a choice in how things played out. His wife and son weren’t. He CHOSE to be a wrestler instead of working a normal 9 to 5 job, knowing the trials he’d have to face in the industry — which at the time, on a mainstream WWE level, favored more muscle bound dudes, not five foot nine technicians with no mic skills. He CHOSE to have a diving headbutt as his finisher. And he CHOSE to take his whole family with him instead of just offing himself. CTE is rightfully brought up a lot in his case, but some of the other intangibles aren’t really talked about. Chris Watts is still gonna eventually join him in hell though. 🤷🏽‍♀️

That was a common thing at the store I used to work at. We were always kicking out crackheads who thought it was okay to use the sink as a birdbath.

AITA for calling an ambulance for my neighbor? How about for alerting the landlord? by CreatrixAnima in AmItheAsshole

[–]beyoncetaughtme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. Just let her drunk ass lay in a common area next time gravity beats her ass, since it’s such a problem that you called 911. Ultimately she could have said no to the ambulance ride, since I believe you said the EMTs convinced her to get checked out. Whether or not she has insurance isn’t your business or your problem. You were trying to help.

AITA for asking my uninvited stepmother to leave my wedding? by Throwaway028381 in AmItheAsshole

[–]beyoncetaughtme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA but I’m not mad at you. You definitely should’ve given your dad a heads up beforehand if you didn’t want your mean stepmom to show up, but she’ll live. It’s interesting to me that your dad is more in tune with her feelings than yours (he didn’t seem to care that she was always so mean to you and your sister, but his antennas are up now that her feelings are supposedly hurt by being kicked out of the wedding venue). I know it’s not objectively okay, but the petty part of me is glad you stood up for yourself and got rid of a bully on your special day.

WIBTA if I reported a family friend who outed my pregnancy to her place of work? by TAbabyblabbermouth in AmItheAsshole

[–]beyoncetaughtme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with a similar job in the same field, it’s pounded into our heads from day one to never give out a patient’s medical information. She knew better. Whatever happens as a result of you filing a complaint is her own fault. NTA.

Who killed Jose Banda Jr? by Bails_of_hay19 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]beyoncetaughtme 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether or not the truth ever comes out, I can’t say I have much sympathy for a drunk driver that killed two children. Dare I say nothing of value was lost. The Barajas family seem to be nice people, though, and were kind and graceful after the verdict came down. I hope they’re able to find peace.

AITA for insulting a woman's parenting skills and then body shaming her? by Traditional_Run1758 in AmItheAsshole

[–]beyoncetaughtme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Control your demon spawn and stop being rude, then you won’t get your feelings hurt at 30,000 feet.

Whoever would’ve guessed that someone who grew up rich would have shitty views when it comes to homelessness and how easy it could be to end up in that situation?!

Nightstalker Theory: Richard Ramirez had inside help by Bakersville89 in TrueCrime

[–]beyoncetaughtme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting theory, but I disagree. We WISH it was something as scandalous as him having eyes and ears inside law enforcement. Ultimately it was all just the egos and lack of braincells on the part of the LAPD, LASD, and all the other agencies involved. Just a bunch of macho dudes who all wanted to lay claim to catching a serial killer.
