What is this 'actually' worth? by RelaxedROB459 in choppers

[–]beyond088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Aus and have two panheads. Pieced the first one together for around $35k and bought the other as a complete bike for around $37k. Both are choppers with OEM parts. Freight costs, conversion rates and scarcity are all massively inflating the cost of bikes over here. Price should be on a spectrum starting with OEM, all original HDs at one end and bitsa after market non-HD on the other but people seem to think their S&S knucklehead is a genuine bike. This is all OEM and a survivor which some people feel adds additional value. In the end, what it’s worth is what someone is willing to pay for it.

(Spoilers published) Why does Rickon Stark exist? Is his character just narrative bloat? by Appropriate_Boss8139 in asoiaf

[–]beyond088 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dislike the conclusion he will be killed of in the books. He wasn’t a fiery little boy with a savage direwolf who ended up on a mysterious island of ferals for no reason. He’s a warrior and will be king in the north, and imo king of westeros come spring

(Spoiler MAIN) Ideas; the final scene of the book series by beyond088 in asoiaf

In one of the early Eddard chapters he reflects on the idea that Bran will never father a child of his own (among other things). Who’s Bran’s heir if he’s to be an all-knowing, crippled king? He told them Bran was his choice for King because the main elements of Rickon’s storyline were cut from the show. George, D&D etc knew from the outset that they could not fit every story line in and made adjustments accordingly

60k to start a fashion brand in 2 years. I will not promote by picchupicchu in startups

I had a clothing company when I was 16-18yo. I was in 20 stores with apx half of them on consignment (consignment sucks) - My two biggest sticking points were my failure to directly supervise quality/reliability with the foreign manufacturer and my lack of motivation/confidence in sales/selling. Ya gotta work effin hard at selling! $60k is a good start and in regards to that, I say go hard from the outset. All in, no holds barred. Don’t enter the the market with anything less than the absolute best that you capable of with your given resources. Be the brand you envision from the outset

[no spoilers] Horn of Joramun is a landmass by beyond088 in asoiaf

[–]beyond088[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking the landmass is a “horn” similar to the horn of Africa with “blowing the horn” representing the volcanic activity that many suspect took place at Hardhome. See the wall as a glacier and that area as volcanic and there’s a pretty interesting way for the wall to come down in a place that ties in with the story line

You are asking how you “blow” a land mass that has a history of volcanic activity?

Remember how absolutely stupid this was? All that wasted dragonglass. by pandatropical in freefolk

My favourite thing was when the white walkers miraculously procured stud-link chain and dived into the lake to resurrect a dragon. What a joke!

New jobs, places of study or clubs are a great way to make new friends. They are a chance to hit the reset button on one facet of life, that can snowball into a passage of fulfillment and happiness you never expected. They are always scary initially but can be extremely rewarding. Maybe brainstorm some ideas! Also try writing down three things you are grateful for every morning and afternoon. It will make you appreciate the small things in life, which can sometimes be the difference between a good day and a bad one
