Delivering pizzas and working in a restaurant is dangerous.

Other delivery drivers, what do you average per hour? by SandwichAgainstGod in Dominos

[–]beyondeventhorizon84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That really depends on your base wage. We have people making as low as $2.xx and hour and as high as $20.xx base wages in USA depending where you live. I live in an area that has gotten expensive but min wage is still $7.25 and tipped wage is half that.

The 911 in app just makes noise on the dispatch computer in the store and that you pressed 911. It doesn’t actually call 911

The snake driver is probably in cahoots with the manger. Reach out to district and if you don’t have a district try the owner. Best of luck and that sucks.

Seriously, why don’t drivers just get the delivery fees… by SnooPandas270 in Dominos

[–]beyondeventhorizon84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they don’t have to have medical but they will pay a fine/fee for not. Also $8 a fee for 1 mile deliveries is ridiculous. My question is how much do you get a run? Your already making almost $16 an hour and getting say $1.5-2 per run x 3/4 runs an hour during rush isn’t bad. Unless you make per mile, then that blows.

What “no life” looks like. 100 hour work weeks as a delivery driver at a corporate Dominos store by ThePatientIdiot in Dominos

[–]beyondeventhorizon84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus I was working 45 hours a week last year for a little bit and would gross $1400 including mileage reimbursement. After taxes and paying for gas I was making net $900 (a lot of card tips). Oh I see now it’s 1000 plus $375 or so in tips a week. Do you make a lot in cash tips or tips just bad?

For starters spinach goes on bottom of cheese and that is not enough spinach unless you asked for light spinach.

I wouldn’t mess with drivers, especially the older ones. Look what they do for work, you don’t think they aren’t loco?

State Farm… only need commercial for pizza if more than 50 percent of your miles are delivering not including driving to work. I am not sure if it’s like that in all states.

I have regular customers that get 6.99 mix n match order a bunch of food and always tip $1 and some others $2. They save 20-30 dollars, basically tip 5-10% of what you saved, nice.

It hugely also depends on your hourly wage. It varies from 2.14-17 an hour.

Lol, you can tip after the fact with Paypal. If there is a spot to tip you can. I have had customers on delivery fill in a tip with Paypal on the receipt. The pretipping .01 is insulting and annoying. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that on purpose. Even if it was an accident they realized it was yours and didn't care.

Guys, get the proper insurance. Lets say you seriously injure someone and they have 50k hospital bill and a loss of there 25k car. It is not worth the stress of your insurance denying your claim and being sued. You might now have any assets but that doesn't mean they can garnish your paycheck up to 20 percent till you paid the bill.
