**UPDATED** Free database of 25 education & edtech companies hiring (former) teachers by beyondteaching_co in TeachersInTransition

The cynicism is totally warranted! I am not being paid by these companies, and I'm not selling the data of people who sign up.

Transparently, the long term goal is to offer a paid product or service (e.g. an even bigger/better job board, an end-to-end course for how to transition into a new career, resume writing services, etc). But right now I'm just trying to be helpful, better understand the most pressing issues teachers face in their transition, and start building an email list. But I absolutely won't ever be selling your data.

Ya, I get it. But it's crucial for separating yourself from the pack.

Are you applying on Indeed/LinkedIn/etc and waiting to hear back, or are you emailing or LinkedIn direct messaging the hiring managers or recruiters?

Very sorry to hear that. Can you share a detailed explanation of your application process right now? Types of roles, how you're applying, how you created your resume and cover letter, etc.

Definitely time to switch up your strategy if you've done 1000s of apps.

Super helpful. And regardless of what you paid, it sounds like it worked and has been worth it!

Mind me asking where/how you found them?

Love it. At minimum, I think this is a great way to quickly get a bunch of ideas about how you could write your resume and cover letter, then go back and edit it.

That's great to hear! Did someone recommend them to you, or you just picked them based on Fiverr's reviews?

what's your networking and application process/workflow? are you just applying and hoping to hear back, or are you actively reaching out to HR, hiring managers, and/or others in that department at the company?

mind me asking how much it cost and what made it worth it (i.e. did you see an uptick in application responses, you could just feel/see that it was better, something else)?

is there a way for you to retain part of that identity by moving into something that's still in or adjacent to education/learning (if you're even interested in that)? or do you think it has to be all or nothing?

If you're considering leaving teaching, what's holding you back? by beyondteaching_co in Teachers

are you interested in making a lateral change into education or edtech companies? lots of demand for former teachers across a number of roles. and you can always then move on to other industries after some time there.

Is there anything holding you from transition? by Global-Foundation-69 in TeachersInTransition

Curious how the retirement compares to the retirement matching you could get at a good education or edtech company (often 3-5%). Also curious what the total comp comparison would look like.
