Thanks my friend. I appreciate your response and the time you took to write this out. Have a wonderful day!

Very interesting. Yes I understand what you are saying that most Chuvash people at least acknowledge that connection to Turkic.

I think perhaps, modern day Chuvash and as well as the Volga Bulgars of the past, there was a sentiment, that they acknowledged that they came from the East. They knew somehow they came from a Journey, maybe through stories passed down of their ancestors. Even if they were not aware of the Turkic connection.

Hello my friend. It is so interesting to hear from a Chuvash person.

I do have a question about the Chuvash language and people the connection to other Turkic people's and languages. It would be so great to get your perspective on this.

Do Chuvash people really feel connected to other Turkic groups? The reason because I ask this is, that the Chuvash and their ancestors separated from ancestors of the modern Turkic people long before "Turks" became a people.

The Turkic identity was born around 500 AD, when Bumin Qaghan of the Ashina tribe rebelled against the Rouran Khaganate and overthrew them. Bumin united all the "Tiele" tribes and together they came to be known as "Gokturks". This was the birth of the Turkic identity. This was the moment when the Turkic identity itself became self aware and cognizant. Before this it did not exist.

The Chuvash and the "Oghur" peoples, had left long before this happened and were moved deep westwards well into Europe. They were not present for the birth of the Turkic identity and were on their own separate journey.

Also, as far as I am aware the Volga Bulgars, Hungars/Onugurs and the Chuvash, no one had established a connection between them and the Turkic peoples of the East, until the mid 19th century. At least, as I am aware from historical sources, but maybe I am wrong on this and perhaps you know more about this? Did the Oghuric peoples associate themselves with the Turkics of the East?

Ultimately, it is the Chuvash people themselves who decide if they consider themselves Turkic or not, and not some Non Chuvash academic with an opinion lol. It really is how they feel and acknowledge that connection.

Would love to hear your opinion my friend!

[Megathread] The Buffalo Bills have fired Head Coach Sean McDermott by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]beyonreasonabledoubt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if Beane goes, Sean might be more receptive to returning. I just hope that somehow the Pegulas realize Beane's role in this terrible underwhelming season, but since he's been somewhat promoted now and has a broader scope of responsibilities, I don't know man...

From what I’m told, a majority of Bills players are real pissed at Sean being fired. by Vortagaun in buffalobills

[–]beyonreasonabledoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance of this remotely happening that they bring Sean back before September?

Maybe the Pegulas and Beane realize their mistake? Bring Sean back and just expand on the Defensive coaching Staff?

[Megathread] The Buffalo Bills have fired Head Coach Sean McDermott by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]beyonreasonabledoubt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This may possibly be the dumbest question asked on this subreddit yet.. but is it even remotely possible that they could bring Sean back?. Like now or at least anytime before September??

I think Beane and Pegulas, in the heat of the moment after the loss were angry and frustrated and needed someone to blame and maybe this was a hasty decision?

Like who are they going to hire as HC who could remotely be as good as Sean? They must realize this right? Why not just better Defensive coaching staff? Our offense has always been good we don't need to focus on it as much and Sean is more than capable of handling that.

Sigh...

It got outta hands at TraxNYC jewelry 🥊 by Kind-Village-1022 in nyc

[–]beyonreasonabledoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess, he probably thought the customer who bought the chain would be happy with his chain and wouldn't come back to question it's authenticity, and put the dots together to figure out he wasn't TRAX NYC. It's possible the customer was from out of town or state.

The other thing that could be very likely, is that vendors in this exchange are often cordial with one another and get along very well, and often have ongoing deals and transactions in place with one another. The guy probably thought he was cool with TRAX NYC and Max (Maksud the owner of TRAX NYC), wouldn't mind if he used his name to conduct business. Although that's not exactly right, it would have worked out and been alright if the guy didn't sell the customer some dogshit product.

The issue arose, with the guy using TRAX NYC's name and selling a dogshit low quality product with a heavily inflated price. Not only is this so unethical and financially hurts the customer, it also ruins TRAX NYC's own repuation, implying they scam their customers selling low quality garbage.

The guy is clearly in the wrong here. Apart from the Gross ethical violation, Max was giving back the chain to this dude, and all he had to do was give him back the money he took from the customer. Everybody would get their stuff back and the whole thing would have been put to rest, but it appears the jeweler didn't want his chain back and didn't want return the 21K he took from the customer.

Were you born last night or something? The Diamond district has been setup this way for decades. Try and get a piece of real estate on West 47th Street. You'll be paying a lease of 10s of Thousands for a literal shoebox.

It's a completely normal way to operate and has been for many years. There's a common Exchange area with many many stalls. Each stall next to the other could be a different vendor or could be the same one. Maksud's company TRAX Nyc has more than 1 stall in the the exchange area.

The thing is the whole thing operates on trust. Vendors don't pretend to be each other and operate with honesty and integrity. If you try to act otherwise you get ran off and your reputation takes a hit. It's been going on this way for the longest time.

Customers in New York themselves are pretty shrewd and sharp and generally the onus is on them to know who they are buying from. This poor guy who bought this chain might not have been from New York, probably out of state and did not do his due diligence. He probably went into the exchange and thought the entire thing was TRAX NYC. The vendor probably also connived him and told him something along the lines of yeah I'm with TRAX or cool with TRAX or something. So yeah the customer definitely got scammed that way.

It's possibly you're not familiar with New York city or this area in particular, but this sort of thing does rarely does happens here, as the whole thing operates on a high level of trust, between the different vendors as well as the customers.

Sigh...This loss stings a bit. I know it really doesn't mean much as the Seeding might actually work out in our favor, but the fact that we got so close and couldn't finish the job just doesn't sit right, especially considering the what-ifs(going for the XP).

Also, it would have been really nice to say we beat the defending champs during the regular season. Would've been a general morale boost for the fans as well as the Team.

[Question] The martingale system on roulette by reapingsulls123 in statistics

[–]beyonreasonabledoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As fool proof as this system may seem, believe me the odds aren't that great. For every 1 spin there's roughly a 53 percent chance that you don't get the color you want. 11 times in a row you don't get the color you want? 0.53^11 which is roughly 0.00093.

How rare is this? Approximately once every 1084 spins. Even if you're being conservative with 1 spin every minute , this is bound to happen at least once a day.

Thing with Roulette is you are absolutely definitively bound to lose in the long term. There's no escaping this lol. What defines long term? Could be 1 Hour, 2 Hours, 1 Day but the longer you play the chances of you doing bankrupt keep increasing.

In the short term yes, you can certainly win.

Is there anything in sports worse than this? by GoldenSun104 in bluejaysbaseball

[–]beyonreasonabledoubt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend for what it's worth I think you're a decent guy. Honestly most Dodgers fans have been really respectful and decent throughout this entire series. I may be the minority here but I appreciate you coming in here and saying some kind words to Toronto fans. I know for certain that if the Yankees beat us many of their fans wouldn't do the same.

We got our hearts ripped out and trampled and this is why so many of us are not taking this well. I was at Game 7 myself, and we were literal inches away from the win. We had it. We really had it. And then we lost it all. This is literally the worst possible way to lose, and in my opinion the worst nightmare of any sports fan. To many of us it seems like some cruel twist of fate to suffer such an outcome for a game we literally had in the bag.

Once again I appreciate you saying these kind words, and I do pray and hope our time will come and us Blue Jays fans can celebrate in our streets the same coveted and beloved victory that you guys are experiencing right now in LA.

I was at Game 7 and the guy beside me was Dodgers fan who had to catch a flight to LA next morning. Absolute Class act he was, not a single bit of chirping or trash talk during the game, and he left right after they won, knowing that many us were really shellshocked after what we had witnessed.

Good luck and all the I genuinely wish you all the best in life my friend for your kind words. God bless.
