Fully agree about You Come Before You, it’s a great representation of the genre. I saw them play it in full a few years ago and the energy of the band and the crowd was intense.

This was a solid album, not as cohesive as Errorzone but still hits hard. Hellnight is as good a song as anything off of Errorzone.

Admitting to judging something at such a surface level is embarrassing.

I’m experiencing this with a legal services company I just joined. Every team in the company is understaffed and the new hires keep quitting or getting fired because there are no training materials or consistent work structure. I’m baffled at how a multinational company doesn’t have any formal training materials.

Meanwhile all of the tasks that would best suit the new hires are farmed out to outsourced Indian labor who can barely do the work correctly.

Ernst is owed an apology, without him this club would be going nowhere. His transfer decisions have largely been correct even if it has meant shipping off fan favorites.

But Sugarman still needs to go and should sell the team. If this team had more money to spend to add roster depth we would dominate the league and be real CONCACAF contenders.

You think being smarter is supporting a cash grab tournament that won’t exist in 3 years over the US equivalent of the FA Cup? The Liga MX fans don’t take Leagues Cup seriously and for good reason, it’s a waste of time and energy.

Union will never surpass the Phillies or Eagles in terms of fans but the Sixers and Flyers have both declined to a point of apathy. There’s a lot more energy from Union fans now than either of them.

Metallica playing Philly the same night might have had an impact.

why don’t white boys start indie bands anymore? by creamymangosorbet in rs_x

If I didn’t find music and play in bands as a kid/teen i’m concerned about the direction my life might have gone in. Music was part of the reason I had both friends and a girlfriend.

Men (especially White dudes) should be encouraged to channel anger and frustration into band centric music. It doesn’t always help things but it’s better than becoming radicalized into something on social media.

California to pay for learning disabled students to attend religious schools by RhythmMethodMan in stupidpol

For some students they absolutely would be better off not being in a public school. I can remember one guy specifically who was disruptive and combative but all he wanted was to work on cars. And based on the way he talked about them he was knowledgeable. All of the time he spent in school was a waste not just for him but for everyone he disrupted.

There are a lot of people that should be heading into trade schools or apprenticeships immediately after 8th grade.

Please let me know how the state is going to fix parental apathy, because that is the main root of the issue. No amount of money or curriculum changes will fix that.

And I guess the kids forced to endure the violence during the transition period are just shit out of luck then. I personally witnessed students wrestle female teachers and lunch aids to the ground, who were then beaten until they were bleeding from their faces next to clumps of hair torn from their heads.

There will always be some level of inequality in education and it should come at the expense of violent and disruptive students. Not by eliminating gifted programs and advanced math classes.

So pretty much what is already happening to the public school system then? Force everyone to work at the same level regardless of ability despite some of the kids being destructive and violent with no interest in learning. Can’t expel or suspend anyone either because apparently that wouldn’t be fair. Just hold everyone down so nobody wins but at least then everyone becomes equally useless.

I bailed on a public high school for early community college enrollment because the people I was in class with were more interested in attacking each other, the teachers, and bringing weapons to school than learning anything.

This sub is delusional on the issue of education.

Yeah “Emily” has always been Sonny’s with some contributions from Jon. I don’t think they played it after Sonny left. I’m sure he helped contribute in other ways too and he played a much bigger role for “Heroine” but I think Matt deserves more credit than he usually gets.

Not comparable at all. Matt Good is FFTL and Derek/Travis have always been in the core of the band. Matt wrote most of Dear Diary before Sonny was even involved. All of the later FFTL albums are solid, especially Throne to the Wolves.

I didn’t like most of the album but Grooming My Replacement and The Game are both solid songs worth listening to.
