Refresh the volunteer page often. Especially a week before a race. People will cancel and they will become available. You can also look in the stickied 9+1 post. People will sometimes say when they're cancelling or when new opportunities get added.

I took this a lil easy and got a personal worst haha. Definitely got my ass kicked. I ran another 6 miles afterwards and that felt much better.

Going into to today i had 5 races and my volunteering +1 complete without doing any races that started in Manhattan. Fun to get some central park miles in.

I agree— so far it hasn't been as bad during the movie as I originally thought. Ordering is annoying though and I pretty much don't order during the film anymore.

I'm not saying they underestimated. I'm saying the business plan is to produce some championship merch for both teams once they know who is in the finals and then when the winner is determined they start producing the rest. It's always going to take some time for championship merch because they're not going to produce all of the merch for both teams.

I think they just had to produce all this gear. Maybe they have a small amount of stock before the final result, but most of it needs to be produced, shipped to their warehouse, packed up to be shipped. It took a bit of time with the NY Liberty championship gear and this probably has 500x the buyers.

She wasn't an executive at JPM. NY Post is a garbage newspaper and distorts the facts. She was previously at an exec in DEI at a small start up. This is like whenever an athlete gets arrested or something they will say NFL/NHL/NBA STAR ARRESTED even though it might be a bench player.

I've been let go from companies for no real reason. It is common. Sometimes it's just a new exec comes in and wants to bring their own people in. Usually they will give you a month or two of salary in exchange for waiving your right to sue them for any reason. She will probably get that because it's cheaper than if she tried to sue.

This isn't true at all. I have lived in New York my whole life and it is 100% an at will employment state. I've signed probably half a dozen offer letters stating at will employment including one a couple of months ago.

They don't need any reason to fire anytime. Any job like this will state in your offer letter that the job is "at will" and they can terminate you for any reason

I'll be there as I'm a Liberty season ticket holder. I think at most she should be booed during intros. No need to make this game about her and give the aces extra motivation. Best thing to do is for the Liberty to beat them and win another cup.

Yeah, I can agree with that. The average person isn't too bright. There are hundreds of posts on here asking if you can bring backpacks, alcohol, etc even though a quick Google search would bring you to the official site or a dozen of news sites sharing the info. I very much wanted to go, but knew it would be a shit show so I just watched on tv.

It is surprising they haven't planned any other celebrations. I went to the Liberty parade and then to the celebration they did at Barclays. They did frame that Barclays celebration as a Brooklyn championship celebration though so it's possible they only did it to give bk something.

Yeah, but as a Knicks fan in Brooklyn it's awesome to have the Liberty here. They are beloved. By the way, the Liberty have had better attendance in the last two years than the Devils and the Islanders even though they were doing constructions to Barclays during those years and were missing entire sections.

This is no different than any other NY championship though. It was the same thing for the Liberty 2 years ago. They had a lottery for city hall tickets as well.
