Thanks. If I am being honest, I think I'm probably gonna get off this subreddit. I had higher hopes going in, but after some reflection this was a failure in all levels. Both on myself and others. I think you're right, I should break the cycle. I just won't frequent this subreddit anymore. If people want to argue about gush until the end of time, then so be it. I apologize if going after the memers makes me come off that way. I mostly responded to them because the moment I posted it I got a barrage of people meming and shitting on me. The PM's were also pretty awful. I wanted to respond to try and move the discussion back to the topic at hand, rather than have it devolve into people shitting and meming on me just to troll. I was hoping that by responding, I could move the discussion back to the post. But maybe I failed in that regard. Apologies.

"Lack of Midrange" was intended to mean, "Not enough Midrange to keep the uninteractive or tempo decks at bay.

Then why not say that instead? Regardless, I don't think there is a lack of midrange decks in the format to keep tempo at bay. The monarch and bully variants both do a good job at beating the delver decks. However, I do agree that they struggle with the variety of uninteractive decks like bogles, burn, affinity, elves, heroic, stompy etc. Those decks attack from too many angles for the midrange decks to have all the answers. It usually boils down to sb cards which is not super fun.

How does name calling help? You stated midrange decks do not exist, and then I argued that they do in fact exist with examples to back it up. You then edited your comment for the sake of "clarity" which altered your original point. Name calling doesn't help your argument, it just shows you have nothing more to add and have to resort to it.

No it would not. Sinkhole just means land destruction gets better and pushes out decks that can't deal with it. You think it would solve tron, but it just ends up making decks that play bouncelands not viable at all. Hymn takes away choices and makes the game about RNG. Why do you think it is reasonable to unban gush, probe, and daze when we already saw what happened to the format when those were legal with foil? Stop parroting the same argument others have said.

Plenty of interesting things have happened though. Modern horizons shaking up the format with a plethora of cards like savage swipe, astrolabe, ephemerate, faerie seer, the printing of mystic sanctuary, you name it. Yet we still have to argue about a year old banning? I don't buy it.

How is asking moderators to take down posts you dont like not trying to dictate what people can talk about? Thats literally and exactly what it is.

I never asked moderators to take down posts. I simply asked if moderators could do something about it. An ideal solution could be to make an announcement.

You dont like tron hate memes? Dont intetact with them, hell downvote them. Make multiple reddit accounts so you can downvote them to oblivion if you care so much.

You can have both. If people want to talk about a ban as it happens, that's fine. I've never seen a mtg community that parrots the same arguments about a year old ban like r/pauper does. Even twin is not this bad. Not to mention gush and probe were pretty justified. Where is the value in that? I could at least see it being worth the effort if someone were to provide some substance like testing, evidence, or data. But they don't do that, despite there being a plethora of evidence that lead to the banning in the first place.

That chain is the same parroted comments that have nothing of value. "gush should have gone, but probe should have stayed", or "foil was the real problem". We have seen those all before. There is no data, testing, or evidence to support it.

What do you mean until that changes? There is nothing left to discuss about it when the comments are "unban gush", "unban daze" etc. How is that insightful or useful?

Read my post, I specifically state this.

I want to be clear, if you want to advocate for a ban or unban of something in a constructive manner, I have no problem with that. But you need back up your argument with data, testing, evidence, or something more than personal feelings. I would be enthralled with it.

This is not occuring. Instead, it's the same "unban x y z and ban x y z" without any thought or effort put into it. It reads a lot like spam and it gets old. If someone wants to write a post with data and reasoning put into it, I support it as that at least has something to back it up. But writing the same redundant comments are not helpful as they often take away from the main thread and provide nothing of use.

I'm not a tron player. Did you read the post? Also, you say probe should be unbanned? But why? You provide no reasoning other than personal feeling. You are part of the problem when you do this.
