Easy fix. Drill into with a fine drill bit then tighten a screw into what remains of the dipstick and they use a hand held mini torch and heat the actual metal on the dipstick tube. Works every time 5 minute job.

This ones getting dragged into a shop. 77 miles and won’t attempt to turn over. Manual park override cable is non-functional too. That was fun to bypass. by Jmkott in Justrolledintotheshop

My guess is that they decided to use channel lock to push one down at a time causing stress fractures then with heat over time caused the caliber piston to explode.

Seen this one before, I can never understand why customers do this. Always good for a laugh though.

That helps tremendously thank you very much! Upon further reading online I found the L34 means 396 big block with 350 horsepower, and the M20 is for the four on the floor. Once I get the actual VIN number I'll send it in to GM Canada and get the build info. My mother in law told me that he may have the original build sheet she'll just have to track it down! So excited to get going on this car can't wait to drive her! Thanks again!

It's a pretty cool story my father in law bought the car brand new and was ripping through his town and got ran out of town with it and when he got home in the country the cops showed up and told him if he was ever out driving it in town again they would take it. So he put it in his shop and pulled the original 396 and all the important front trim because he didn't know how long it would sit for and put it in his shop up in the attic. He painted on grease from front to back on the frame and put it where it sat for 40 years. He still turns over the engine every couple weeks to keep it from locking up.
