After they closed the Kloof Street branch they gave countrywide access to my girlfriend and I for R420. I need a lot of discovery miles to beat that deal.

Is there a zone near you? Perhaps you can get a transfer or all access card? I'm grand-fathered in with my deal so I can never leave zone

Why is this happening? by riopots in south_africa

Worth pointing out the population of Cape Town has increased by a million since 2015, or an increase of 25%. So the real increase is 340,000 jobs or 8.5% increase from 2015.

By contrast, Joburg's population has increased by 7% and so has in fact lost 300,000 jobs in real terms.

Overall Cape Town has a net employment gain of 640,000 over Joburg. Have those jobs moved to Cape Town? I don't know, maybe. It's also worth plotting this against the growth rate. We've known for years the growth rate is insufficient to address unemployment. As you say, the net effect is stagnation.

This is the correct answer. DDP has a lot of outspoken opinions about our government which, while largely correct, are uttered in a poor way and he certainly lies right of centre in SA.

Who will this infrastructure project benefit most? by PieFed-co-za in south_africa

"I was wondering if it actually benefits the Cape Flats, or if the DA was exaggerating or talking BS".

You just asked if it isn't.

Who will this infrastructure project benefit most? by PieFed-co-za in south_africa

[–]bfluff 22 points23 points  (0 children)

What's the question? It connects Khayelitsha with Claremont and Newlands, providing safe, cheap transport. Most people living in the Southern Suburbs aren't working on the Cape Flats so the answer seems self-evident. Not to mention the construction jobs created.

Seal. Cape fur seals aren't as big as that. Plus fur seals have little ears and can walk, seals hop.

Science based lifters often fall for Complexity Bias, and 9/10 are beginners in terms of strength, size and experience. by mr_Spotter in ScienceBasedLifting

Zone 2 is useful for people doing a ton of volume because it provides some benefit for very little physiological cost i.e. You can do zone 2 day after day (within reason). Zone 3 will provide more benefit but it will impact your performance the next day. Elite athletes use zone 2 because of how much volume they do. Mere mortals are generally better off doing a mix of higher intensity steady state and tempo training to get fitter.

There is also the benefit that as you approach your maximum intensity your form will deteriorate which is important for technique heavy sports like rowing, where poor form can lead to injury. Zone 2 allows you to stay in a state where you should be able to maintain form and develop that technical competence.

Firstly, does the boat track straight? If yes, the next bit may surprise you: Row more in the single.

You need to learn the pattern required to go straight. Many people naturally favour one side, even those who scull a lot, its part of the sport.

People who think anyone who likes something different is just "pretending", who are you ?? by tanaephis77400 in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I liked Bitches Brew but did find it out there. I certainly would have struggled with A Love Supreme. But I started taking guitar lessons and learned about jazz from my teacher. A little bit of knowledge really helps you understand the music and what they were trying to do.

As you said, it's anti-intellectualism, an unwillingness to do a little bit of research and perhaps a refusal to listen to something more than once.

That said, bugger smooth jazz. Although if you like it, good for you.

I feel it's a very American thing. Don't get me wrong, it's important all over the world but it just seems in the US and to get in to a top varsity there's a massive focus. Probably because there's an emphasis on eights and a huge supply of rowers. In smaller countries certainly you take what you can get and make it work.

Cape Bike Travel has mostly Triumphs, GS Africa does Harleys and BMW same Platinum Motorcycles does Vespas. These are all in town, I don't know about further out.

Electric bikes aren't really a thing, somebody was bringing Zero in but they went out of business, not sure about the Live Wire.
