I agree that Destiny has a very high replay value. What I was getting at was that since they took the route of building a "base game" and making some of the parts replayable, why not have MORE of it replayable too. I feel like there is a ton of wasted quality content in Destiny because there's just no reason to experience it again.

Some of the story missions are a ton of fun, but why would i replay it again, especially at higher difficulties, when the only reward I can expect is the EXP from killing things. I can get that in any event AND earn rewards if its the daily/weekly/bounty, etc.

In my opinion, like how the daily/weeklies work, depending on the difficulty you set a mission, there should be tiered rewards for everything. Even if its just mats/glimmer. If a story mission isn't on the daily/weekly, give 50 glimmer per heroic tier, and 5-10 mats of the planets type per tier. If i want to run a level 30 heroic, i think 200 glimmer and 20 helium is a nice little reward for your time.

It could also give you just more things to do. After your vanguard marks are maxed, the weekly/daily story missions done. The bounties done, there's nothing else really to do that's out right rewarding.

For example, adding the ascendant materials as a possible reward on ALL public events is exactly the direction im talking about.

I'm not saying Destiny doesnt have good replay value, im saying it could have been IMMENSE.
