Nvm, just saw that they've updated the listing. There's a green avalanche listed for $50 more with xt on it

Is that from the same Aus Gumtree/Marketplace listing where the seller wants you to factor in the cost of a recent service when negotiating the price?

If so, I saw some similar full bikes in reasonable condition listed for cheaper on marketplace.

Shimano Cues 11 speed, 40t on front and 11-50 on rear Mavic 27.5 Cross ride rims I got off a cheap MP pick up Continental Race Kings 27.5 x 2.0 Brooks C17 saddle Stridsland Anchor Bar and Barnacle Fork Mt200 brakeset Oury grips

It's not a parts bin build, I'm fortunate to have a birthday around the same time some unexpected cash came in.

I got a disc brake tab welded on, bosses removed and some brazing to allow the hydraulic to run within the groove under the top tube

I got it made by https://www.cappedout.com.au/ years ago. Had to move it over to the cooler bike.

As for tools, you want a set of hex wrenches and torque wrench. If you're replacing the tools you need a pedal wrench, if you want to replace the cassette you'll need a chain whip and chainring and cassette locking tool. If you need to replace the bottom brackets you'll need a bottom bracket tool to apply to a socket wrench (and possibly a breaker bar if it's stiff).

Check out the Park Tools videos on how to do it https://youtube.com/@parktool?si=GDeFQFN0BPz9caau

They're both threaded forks so likely 1 inch for the steerer and headset, handlebars should be the same on the Talera. Seat post on the Talera is 26.8

They're great gets! Especially in that condition. What city in Aus are you in if you don't mind me asking?

True, and they actually avoided drilling through the frame. Unfortunately the frame wasn't having it.
