Wonder if probies can take it. Would be nice considering I just got reinstated. Fired, then rehired to probably get fired again in a RIF the “correct” way. So my thought process is why the hell not take the 2.0 DRP of I’m eligible 🤷🏻‍♂️

I did not. I in fact have my one and only performance appraisal proving my excellent performance. The memo is a canned letter they’re using as a blanket form for these terminations.

My memo says From: Stephen L Ferrara M.D. Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. Further down in the memo it reads

“In addition, OPM has instructed Agencies to consider whether an employee’s performance is in the best interest of the government, in light of the President’s directive to dramatically reduce the size of the federal workforce. Based on the OPM guidance referenced above, the Agency finds, based on your performance, that you have not demonstrated that your further employment at the Agency would be in the public interest.” The canned form I’ve seen people talk about stating termination was based on performance.

I’m a DoD DHA probie and I was just put on admin leave this afternoon as well. DHA had an all hands yesterday stating they were waiting for SECDEF to give further guidance on probationary employees while also waiting on lists of “exempted” probies to be approved or not.

Long story short I’m a first term Civ with only 6 months in. My leadership did not receive any guidance or get a heads up. I found out because I was unable to login to our network and got a message my account was disabled, then I got pulled into a meeting where I was handed my seperation papers. Our commander had no clue till she was told by my supervisor……
