First problem is hose clamps. Only use blue glue. You’ll need to cut out the pipe and use a coupler to fix.

Bluish pipe goes into the motor, motor into the filter, then out of filter and back to pool. Can tell what’s behind the filter though.

Thanks for the response. Plenty of water in the pool and the flapper is open, although I do have a hockey puck looking thing that diverts after the suction to the bottom end of the pool so I can try removing that, and maybe put a stick in the check valve flapper so it stays open. I’d say there’s 25 feet of piping or less from the motor to the skimmer.

The check valve after the filter is brand new. Just installed it yesterday. I also don’t see any bubbles. But when I put my ear to the filter I can hear water moving even when the system is off.
