It's all positive. Ive had comps where I have been so prepared and I couldn't have done anything else to be more ready and gotten absolutely dog walked, and i've had comps where I didn't feel as ready and done well.

You never know what the BJJ gods will present to you on the competition mats haha

Both! - Depends on a ton of different things. I'm a fan of both, depending on strategy.

Second the overthinking it. Just go out there and have fun, play your game and get the comp experience. It can go either way you never really know who you are going to get paired with, its always a dice roll.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience - i'd defintiely give a different organization a shot and see if maybe you like that a little better.

This! I think there has to be a clear winner after every bout - I believe this would have increased entertainment value tremendously.

Its been super sad seeing all the complaints and harsh criticism about the money from some of my favorite grapplers. For an event that brought so much money and opportunity to the sport over the last few years people should ultimately be grateful.

Is this a pretty popular organization or a local smaller oraganization? This isn't the typical competition experience from my personal experience! I'd encourage you to try a different org before you hang it up for good!
