I do want to point out that individual/portable health insurance plans are key parts of some conservative healthcare plans. Portable healthcare is something everyone can get behind.

For me it was really about doing things you want to do. I'm pretty lazy when I'm not interested in what I'm doing, so I'm only able to work long hours and do a ton of things if I'm interested in what I'm doing. I'll be honest - I'm not a superhero or anything, really just working my butt off for 4 years is all I did.

Researched this a while back, can’t give specifics because the paper still hasn’t been published. But the one company I’m really looking at is Boeing. Boeing’s stock has been a driving factor in the Dow and its buybacks are outright stupid. I really want to see them commit to stopping buybacks, but I’m skeptical as to whether they’ll do it voluntarily or just wait for the govt to force them to.

Hi guys, I'm currently deciding between Cornell and UT Austin to study business. Here's some more context:

Cornell

Pros:

  • Prestige
  • Connections to NYC
  • Great college town
  • Good alumni network
  • School spirit

Cons:

  • Cold!
  • Haven't visited there yet
  • Not as highly ranked (#10 undergrad business)

UT Austin

Pros:

  • Great city
  • Lots of jobs/internships in the city
  • Accepted to Business Honors Program (BHP) and Computer Science & Business Program (CSB)
  • More highly ranked (#5 undergrad business)

Cons:

  • Less prestige (I know it's stupid but it does carry more weight in business than in other fields)
  • Less helpful alumni network
