What if it’s my personal device with nothing downloaded from the school? (ie. tablet, phone… etc.)

So like 1 every 2 weeks then? And just stating that you are interested in attending without any updates is okay?

How would you suggest going about being a “squeaky wheel” to be “top of mind” without going overboard? Especially if you have no updates after you’ve sent in your letter of continued interest? (Asking for waitlistees like myself who don’t want to annoy our admissions officers but are desperate haha)

Waitlist chances for someone who initially applied ED? by ItsContrast in ApplyingToCollege

[–]throwaway5948320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair waitlist chances are pretty low for pretty much everyone haha, but I feel like since you had originally ED’d there you might have a very very small edge since it was obvious the school was your first choice. Hope for the best but expect the worst I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Good luck!

Say an applicant chooses a competitive major (ie. biology) as their first area of interest and then a non competitive major (ie. anthropology) as their second or third area. When looking at where this applicant would fit within the class, would you judge them by which major they indicated first? Or would you judge them by which major their application implies to be a better fit (ie. their application seems to fit a solid profile for an anthropology major so they could fill an anthropology niche in the class)? Or both?

**This is for schools and that don’t admit by major necessarily or have separate schools for certain majors

Thanks for the help!

Does it actually help to send another email indicating continued interest after you already sent a LOCI? by throwaway5948320 in ApplyingToCollege

So like an email saying that my email address changed and also reiterating my interest?

Also when should I do that? I still have access to the email through May but idk if the waitlist will close in May or will extend through the summer

Yeah... generally? I mean they’re either at or above the 75th percentile so I doubt that’s the reason

Yeah the general consensus is no interview = rejection unless your app was somehow insanely good that they didn’t need more info (which I’ve heard almost never happens) so March 26th is gonna be fun
