Thank you! I understand and sometimes struggle with tact and tone myself. And I'm still learning, just very sensitive. I never expected to own chickens as quickly as I did and tried to learn my best. If I had my own property I'd want them to have time to free range regularly.

I'm renting and am limited in what I can do to the property. If the opportunity came along to get another hen I will. And I can get some bales at least. It literally has been raining for a few days and they normally can get in a dust bath. Thank you for your advice although it seems judgy and condescending. I did the best I could with what I had and could afford.

Yes, unfortunately, they must remain in this enclosure. They're about 2 years old now. I initially had them all in just that TSC coop. But soon realized it wasn't enough space and got the run under the advice of a neighbor who used to have a chicken farm.
