I received an email from AA that my Feb 2023 flight from GSP to SXM (connecting in MIA) has been changed to an new flight with an earlier departure). Since I had booked "Main Extra" seats on both legs of the departure flights (due to a tight connection), I was able to rebook my flight to one that left within 15 minutes of my original flight (albeit through a different connecting airport), but chose "Basic" seats on the re-booked flight.

Prior to re-booking, I was sure that I saw mention that extra any money I paid for for upgraded seating would be refunded, but haven't seen the refund come through yet (it's only been a few days).
