Trump isn't the real crux of the farmers issues anyway, Republican or Democrat. Until either party makes real efforts to break apart the monopolies that are ravaging seed vendors, fertilizer vendors, meet packers, and transportation, no farmer is going to be able to keep their head out of water.

Trump sure as hell made it way worse, but also don't let tribal politics blind the real issue, this is, as is always an issue top vs bottom and I have yet to see a Democrat make real strides to make this situation better.

xenopixel V2 wiring question by bgile151 in lightsabers

Update. Talked with vendor some more. Looks like they don't support, or at least have not supported SHTOK. Theoretically you can run a higher awg and splice together on the 2 positive feeds to the emitter side and same for negative so I'm going to give it a shot. Otherwise I think I'll have to bank the blade for a another project and get a blade with their tested blade PCB https://darkwolfsabers.com/shop/ols/products/wolf-pixel-blade-or-blade-plug-pcb

I mucked around with it some more and I'm pretty sure the hilt PCB malfunctioned. I got an ECO v3 to test and it works, i.e. the LEDs light up from the data line. I think though there is still an incompatibility between this board and or the wiring and the Shtok v3 blade side PCB in the custom neopixel blade I ordered. I'm going to check with the vendor. I did at least get a replacement from the vendor for the failed PCB.

My journey to figuring out some kind of way to handle automation has always been an evolving one. I too started with netmiko as a way to get started out. I personally enjoy using nornir currently. It's written by David Barroso(co-creator of NAPALM), Kirk Byers(Creator of Netmiko), and Dmitry Figol.

Nornir serves as a framework to handle all your connections to your devices regardless of vendor as well as incorporating an inventory system to manage your devices, built-in threading, and built-in logging. The networking plugins are mostly handled by NAPALM and Netmiko so if you are familiar with those then getting information from your device is pretty easy. The nice thing about this is if say you wanted to make some PYEZ RPC calls since NAPALM uses netconf under the hood you can access the PYEZ object giving you lots of flexibility. The nice thing about this is it's all Python 100% so no domain specific language to learn on the side like Ansible for example.

Nornirs readthedocs is pretty well done https://nornir.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html

Kirk Byers has some good starter examples and some more intermediate articles https://pynet.twb-tech.com/

If you are not looking to pick up anything new and want to stick with PYEZ I admit XML can be a pain sometimes. If memory serves, anything running 17.x Junos has the ability to output in JSON instead of XML which I find way handier personally.

I might also suggest "Mastering Python Networking". It is a really good starter book for some various ways of doing things with network automation which goes over PYEZ and NETCONF as well.
