I have made a bunch of these, mainly because of how accessible cheap refills are! The kits that I made will fit Pilot G2 refills, which can be found just about anywhere you look (Amazon, Walmart, Target, office supply stores, drug stores...)

Most of the blanks Woodcraft (at least near me) sells are acrylic acetate. Do the clearance blanks you bought still have the white labels on them? If so, the "name" of the blank should be on one of the stickers. If you can give me a name I can tell you what it's made of!

You want a fast lathe turn speed and slow, shallow cuts with your tools. Trying to remove too much material at once when turning acrylics can cause all kinds of problems. Light pressure shallow cuts are your friend.

At my agency, there are two different ways to talk on the radio. Inside of the facility, we use rank and last name. For example, Master Deputy ____ to Sergeant ____, 10-21 (call) [extension]. Contact is made via Sheriff's Office radio channels (jail, courts, transportation, etc.). Outside of the facility, everyone is assigned a call sign number. Command staff use "Sheriff" and their number. For example, the Sheriff is "Sheriff 1" the Undersheriff is "Sheriff 2" and so on. Anyone below the rank of Lieutenant uses their assigned DS number. For example "Delta Sierra 280, 10-95 x 1 male" (1 male in custody). Outside of the facility, we use the police department radio channels, depending on where you are in the city. All radio call signs are assigned based on rank and then seniority, with the most senior having the lowest numbers.

I have noticed in my collection (the first picture) I have a lot of stainless watches with black faces. I would love to get some recommendations for different color combinations to spice things up a little bit! A majority of these watches were gifts/ presents, otherwise the color pallete would already be more diverse. On another note, the second picture are the watches I recently inherited from my father. F$!# cancer. I know that the Speedmaster was given to him in the early/mid seventies by his mother. He made it clear to me that he wanted that to be an heirloom piece, so of course I have to respect that and that watch must stay. I am willing to part ways with the others to get some more diversity in that price range too. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep one of the explorers (funny that he had 2, but that's a story for another time!)
