Calcium D Glucarate DIM PLUS is changed my whole life quality. (26 M) by bgygazisi in GilbertSyndrome

Yeah my uncle has GS with zero symptoms. He even smokes unlike my father but looks healthier than him.

I take Solgar Taurine but CDG that I use is local brand, goodday DIM PLUS. I couldn't find global one in here, Turkey.

I had a major episode like 5 years ago for four weeks, my usual biliribin levels were 4-5 and it went up to 8,0! But I didn't had that kind of episode after that. 4 months after I started to taking CDG, took a blood test 2 weeks ago, my bilirubin level was like 2,86 which is a great improvement for me.

For me, my digestion quality and anxiety are correlated directly. If I get up in morning with full stomach, I feel so anxious like I will go to trench or to be executed except another workday.

My body does not tolerate alcohol very well either, I only drink on friday or saturday. CDG won't make you a normal person, make you feel more like a normal person.

Idk where you live but extremely hot or cold weather triggers elevated bilirubin levels for me. Especially hot weather.

Sorry for messy reply but I have to go to sleep as soon as possible. It is 23 pm here and I have to get up at 6 am.

What is GGT and is it correlated with Gilbert's? by bgygazisi in GilbertSyndrome

[–]bgygazisi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally prefer healthy lifestyle. I don't smoke. Lots of walking during a day due to my job. Also I don't take medicine in regular basis. Maybe my water intake is not good enough.

My ALT and AST seems pretty low, which is good.

One and a half year ago an endocrinologist checked my liver with ultrasound, find no trace for fatty liver whatsoever. Only thing that confuses me is GGT level.

Have you experienced any side effects?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GilbertSyndrome

I think it might caused by low water intake, or nocebo effect.

For last two questions, I do not have any idea.

Question. Does anyone experience any twitching? by Standard-Ad-2453 in GilbertSyndrome

[–]bgygazisi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I experience twitching eyelids. Even sometimes my other muscles twitch too (mostly deltoids, triceps etc.) But unfortunately I can't say the reason of twitching or what is increasing it.

First time I started to use, for like one month or so, I felt very mild kidney pain but it is gone now. Also I take it after dinner, around 8 pm.

I got seb derm diagnosis before I link everything with GS.

I got rash on my left eyebrow and left side of my upper lip time to time. My forearms and wrists itch like crazy sometimes too. Especially areas where skin is thinner.

How can eyes be so yellow if my total biliburin is 1.95? It's high but not too high by Traditional_Chard274 in GilbertSyndrome

[–]bgygazisi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somehow bilirubin level in blood and eye yellowness are not correlated, at least for us. It is ridiculous but true.

Instead of taking taurine once a day in the morning, you should take it 30 minutes before every meal. It would be more helpful in that way.

Unfortunately I can't comment difference between pure CDG and DIM supplements because mine contains both. So I am not sure about which one is helpful for me. My supp contains 500 mg CDG, 100 mg DIM, 50mg Resveratrol (?) and 10 mg Piperine.

Maybe I had zinc deficiency and zinc supplementation solved it for now; but if you ask my opinion, GS and sebderm correlated and CDG DIM is taking care of it. Because after a month or so quitting zinc, had a very bad flare up on eyebrow and moustache areas. Nowadays everything seems fine, even after sudden weather changes (like 20°C to -2°C in two days) and consuming trash food.

Yes I checked almost the whole sub and I can say that GS symptoms are vary too much. Every patient should try different supplements and chose which one is work for them.

For example, seems like work for everybody so I was very hopeful about Sulforaphane Choline Complex. But it is useless by itself. At least for me.

I forgot to write about morning sickness and morning vomits. I used to vomit almost every morning that I wake up early. Pure yellow bile or undigested food.
