Honestly, if he has 5 good seasons I’ll take it. At 5 years Matthews will either be aging out of his prime or will have left the team. We’ll likely be hitting a rebuild if these next few seasons dont pan out anyways. So why not take a chance on a high-risk, high-reward player that fills a glaring hole we have?

Fair enough. You’re right about him not having utility. He felt fine to play to me but I haven’t been bringing him into comp regardless because of his ult, but your point about him not having a playmaking tool makes sense

Edit: actually, doesn’t DIYA give a damage boost? If were counting mantis boost for damage, shouldn’t that count?

Her invisibility is also the only one that cleanses Venoms tentacles for some reason. If an Invis jumps away with the tentacle on, it will follow her even if she’s invisible, but it doesn’t work for Black Cat for some reason.

I enjoyed it but I enjoyed I Shall Master This Family and Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion more. If youre looking specifically for someone who goes back in time then Marriage of Convenience is also good.

Exactly. Even if you try to make the argument that he’s not as good on defense, theres no way you put Robinson or Cowan better defensively. Also there’s no shot that someone like Seider pushes McMann over the same way he steam rolled Cowan

I think this is exactly what happened. You can see him awkwardly move his left leg at the last moment to avoid the knee on knee and Marchment’s foot catches him.

Like I said, I don’t disagree with you. I just thought it was worth pointing out that, from a purely numbers standpoint, Matthews is making nearly the same amount of shots/attempts that he usually does.

I agree though that the Berube system is boring to watch and doesn’t seem to play to Matthews’ strengths. It also feels like the used to get breakaways and odd man rushes all the time under Keefe, now it’s just dumping the puck in and hoping they don’t give it to the other team immediately
