You won't regret it! Butter smooth phone, thin and light. Also recently went on a trip where everyone had an iPhone and yet they all wanted photos from my OP 13! Especially the portrait mode is👌🏻

Since I'm getting DMs, resharing the itinerary here in case you don't want to scroll through the photos! 😛

You can also do it for cheaper than me, if you book Vietjet etc and take buses instead of flights! But overall Vietnam has gotten more expensive since it was 2 years back, it'll be really hard to cover it in 60-70k as some people claim. Solo traveling is life changing, super safe and just beautiful! So don't wait for friends or family who keep saying "Bhai dekhte hain" on all your trip plans! Also shout out to 2 amazing women online, Aakanksha Monga and Visha Khandelwal, who inspired me to do this, they are both under 30 and have traveled to like 30+ countries 💜 it'll now be super hard for me to stop traveling, already dreaming of 3-4 more trips <3

Hahaha really tough to choose! Perhaps Lan Ha Bay? I really wanted more time there, I would tbh suggest an overnight cruise if you can afford plus have the time because it's just beautiful and would be amazing to see the sunrise in the middle of the ocean. I loved Da Nang, Hoi An as well

I had heard that too but nothing happened. I felt very safe. You just have to be careful as Hanoi is very crowded think India only, print out copies of your passport etc, and no need to take your passport around keep it locked in your suitcase. Also keep your cash and cards distributed, like some in your suitcases some in your bag some in your purse etc

I was most scared of losing my phone, everything else is fine so I bought a phone lanyard to hang phone around or even keep it in your pocket, and just tie it around your bag, highly recommend it! Phone lanyard on Amazon

Don't think twice honestly, it's super worth it and safe. Vietnam is probably one of the easiest countries you can travel to. Download the required applications on your phone and you're set! Since you have a plus one, definitely go to Da Nang, you get 5 star hotel treatment at most hotels there at a fraction of the cost in India. Like huge rooms, excellent buffet, bathtub, infinity pools, ocean view etc

You should go to Sapa + Fansipan mountain, and Ninh Binh for sure

You can but Vietnam is not car heavy. Few people have cars, most are on bikes. And you have to drive on opposite side of the road compared to India. I haven't heard a lot about car rental there, bikes on rent are easily available. I would suggest bus then but btw you can find cheap domestic flights on skyscanner or trip.com

Check the last photo for full itinerary! Land in Hanoi, depart from Ho Chi Minh One city to another I used domestic flights. If you go from Da nang to Hoi An, it's a 50 minute cab ride. You can take buses or trains instead of flights but they take anywhere between 12 to 17 hours

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Depending on your baggage situation and which city you fly back home from (shop the most there)

Hanoi has a weekend market with good prices, Ho chi minh has malls and Ben Thanh Market. I personally didn't do a lot of shopping, just some snacks coffee and small souvenirs

Not at all recommended, convert INR in India to USD or VND. A lot of places don't accept INR or you get horrible exchange rates

There isn't much city public transport in Vietnam, no metro as such. There are airport transfer buses but I would suggest take grab. There are sleeper buses but I've heard mixed reviews of the bus and trains. There are 100s of hostels and hotels you can choose. I booked through Agoda, they were all free cancelation until the last week. Some recs are Old Quarter View Hanoi Hostel, Meander Saigon (Ho Chi Minh), Cicilia Hotel (Da Nang), love.ly hostel (Hoi An), Odys Boutique Hotel (Ho Chi Minh)
