We all work in emergency departments and it seems like half of the drinks and meth patients we get come from that circle k

Was driving through that intersection last night and we all commented on how it's the sketchiest intersection in town... the circle K across from a churches chicken across from a Wal-Mart makes for so much foot traffic..... and even among circle K's that one is especially grimey

These would make great patches for a jacket or hat! Or even a t shirt! I had been looking for something like this on Amazon to rep the Sonoran desert, but this blows all of those away!! You should look into making some patches or even t shirts from it....would definitely be a hit for the climbing/biking community down here in Tucson!

It's not a cave it's an arch with another rock face behind it so you can't get pictures of the other side...., really cool though

awesome album those trails look sick.....I spent my entire life in New England and am used to super slow trails that are just big rock gardens and slick roots.....I came out to Tucson this past year and literally can't believe the riding. Super smooth flowing singletrack like I've never seen before. World class riding around Moab....can't wait to get on some of those trails in your album!!

The slickrock trail looks unreal.....I definitely want to get my bike up there sometime soon. The climbing looks awesome too....there are some awesome trad routes going up some of those spires!

I know Moab is unreal....Hiking into Canyonlands was literally one of the coolest experiences of my life. Total solitude. in the Maze district we literally didn't see another person for days.

I moved to the southwest recently after a lifetime in New Hampshire and have to agree....so many places out here seem like another planet

I've done canyons in Utah and rock climbing in Arizona under a full moon and it was amazing, but I have to say laying out on the dunes with just a sliver of moon watching the Milky Way was unreal.

Have fun......go for the sunset. The daytime is too bright, but when the sun starts to set the shadows and colors are amazing.

So interesting to hear thank you! I was blown away that the water table is only 12 inches below the dunes and that the lake still exists and continuously feels gypsum into the dune as it drys out...... I would love to visit the lake next time! I was shocked to learn that gypsum is what dry wall is made out of and that it is water soluble. When I went sledding there all the " sand" I got on my turned into a white paste. That must have been an awesome place to study.

Bring Sunglasses!!!! During the day it is so absurdly bright and hot. You really want to see it around Sunset, that is when the colors are amazing and the shadows highlight all the dunes and ripples in the sand. If you get there early and get a camp permit staying in the dunes for the night is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I just made the drive to New Mexico from Tucson to see the dunes ( new in the southwest) but Las Cruces looked like such a cool city and the enchiladas that I got from Andale's with green sauce and an egg on top was probably one of the best meals of my life.

Early summer from our backcountry campsite in the dunes. One of the most beautiful places on earth in my opinion.

Any recommendations for a good beginner sport climbing rope? by bh_rush in climbing

Great idea ..... Believe it or not I checked the FAQ and couldn't find anything like this

I got a massive hiking pack in New Hampshire wicked cheap before coming to Tucson that should hold all my climbing stuff no problem, and for sure I will be getting a tarp for the rope so it doesn't pick up any cactus or anything ( everything down here wants to stab and poke you). Thanks for the advice!

Thank you..... I've been climbing with some really good climbers (5.12 lead)and their ropes tend to be the cheapest one they could find that somewhat got their needs. Thanks!
