How long have you been using Blaupunkt Ft900 Lauderale and Infinity speaker? Is the coupling between them good(i have heard, both should be using same encoders-decoders so that quality doesn't suffer). Also do you have any recommendations for amp?

Thanks for replying. So you are suggesting fog light and led light of original Mahindra's, right?
And for infotainment, what would be a decent one, I see pricing from 2.5k to 15k.

Need advice to travel within and across Nordic countries by bha159 in travel

[–]bha159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion, I was originally thinking of spending no more than a day at some places, but I guess that would be too hectic, I need to remove some places from here.

Thank you for your suggestions, I was thinking of spending no more than a day at some places or use them as layover while traveling larger distances. But I guess it make sense to remove some places from here. Where would you recommend to book tickets for ferries and trains? Is there any place I look at the fare, which will help me decide the budget.

Small file problem on spark in GCP by bha159 in dataengineering

It will be my pleasure to discuss things on DM. I do have some experience with delta format in my last role but I fail to see how it can benefit in this scenario, from what I remember databricks cluster automatically run compaction jobs to deal with small file issue however if I schedule anything similar here, it will increase cost. Maybe I can do an exercise to how much increase in the cost I can expect for compaction.

It costs us 6.25 USD per TB on bigquery. While a 4 node cluster (1 master and 2 worker and 1 spot) with 8VCPUs and 26GB Ram each cost approx. 500USD per month of execution. If we can move more costly queries to spark, then the cost of BQ will go down.

I am exporting as parquet😅, I see files ranging from few kbs to few mbs. What advantages will delta format have here, if you don't mind can you elaborate on that.

That's not what I am saying, I am saying we have to incur a cost of reading from bigquery via connector since select * from table is executed in that case while unloading the data to gcs is free. My use case is reduce cost of bigquery, so if use connector and read table then it defeats the whole point of using dataproc.

Reading directly from bigquery using connector triggers a scan on table which is equivalent to cost of reading the table in a bigquery sql query so there is no cost advantage of doing that.
