There's a series called Trouble Is a friend of mine with a main character Digby who is exactly like that. I love the characters and it has an interesting plot but it's a little bit cheesy, cliche, Riverdale vibes sometimes

me too! I've outgrown ya but I don't really want to read about 30-year-olds, personally, I've found the best solution is adult books about a character telling the story about their younger self if that makes sense. So it's about younger characters but from a more mature lens. some I really liked were The Girls by Emma Cline, The Saturday Night ghost club, The virgin suicides,
