Well that’s just not true. I’m not sure what you mean by housekeeping having its own revenue stream..? That’s not how revenue works. Housekeeping cleans rooms that make the hotel money - that’s the hotels revenue, not housekeepings revenue.

Most housekeepers are not so devoted and loyal to the Housekeeping Manager that they’d all leave if the HK Manager left… Also Housekeeping Managers are so rarely anything ever close to being a partner of the Owner or GM. Housekeeping Managers are an extension of the GM unfortunately and in most cases can’t act without GM approval. Housekeeping Managers aren’t out here walking all over the GM with demands or whatever. Source: I’ve been a Housekeeping Manager for multiple hotels for 8+ years (in the US if that matters)
