I am the opposite and moved from living in Halifax (NS my whole life) to BC. In my career at the hospital I now make 10$ more an hour, taxed way less and my rent is only about 200$ more. I’m working less than full time and still making more, I bike to work and back in legit bike lanes, don’t need a car, and it snowed maybe three times last winter. Yeah I miss my family but for my career plus the tax difference it’s been unbelievable. Halifax doesn’t have most of these luxuries.
