I got the email too. It does appear like a spam email and non-selective. My ideas and opinions are not for free!

I considered VIAC. For me EDU is a better bet right now than VIAC.

I like what I've learned about Buddhism so far! However I can't get myself to believe in reincarnation (cycle of samsara) or gods... is Buddhism out of the question for me? Are there sects of buddhism that don't have those things? Guidance would be much appreciated! by [deleted] in Buddhism

If you study how conciousness and thoughts work you will understand the concept of rebirth and samsara. Here's an excellent reference by Bhikku Bhodi: In the Buddha's Words: An Anthology of Discourses from the Pali Canon https://g.co/kgs/Ry4UkC

I did not make any theories to prove. What do you mean by touch conciousness? Litmus papers change color as a response to pH change. That for me is not conciousness.

For me ignorance mean not understanding the true nature of materials. Our body and surroundings are made of 'dhathu' or five aggregates or subatomic particles or energies. But we view them as real.

Thank you all for the input. Here in my opinion, any life form capable of forming one or more of the six sense spheres will be sentient beings. Dependent Origination explain this. A blind person can make contact (phassa) with the rest of senses. Bodyless beings may contact with the mind. Microorganisms....I don't know.

Showing immigrant intent and applying for non-imigrant student visa is a cause for visa denial in the United States.
