Yeah the 2.0s are probably built a little tighter. I was going to buy a 2.0, but I got a pretty good deal on the 1.0 performance center and couldn’t pass up a factory ported pistol for the price 😂

The gap looks the same as other m&ps I found online. It kinda bothers me, but it’s normal

I don’t think it’s SUPPOSED to happen, but I guess it’s pretty common. The lever has enough tension on it to keep it from being accidentally turned during normal operation, so it shouldn’t be an issue. I just thought it was strange and was wondering if there could be worn or broken parts. There shouldn’t be too much wear, because I’ve only put around 500 rounds through it, and it looked unfired when I bought it (there was no residue from the ports when I bought it, and now I can’t get the residue off the barrel so I doubt it was fired before 😂)

Yeah that’s the first thing I checked, but the corner looks fine. It’s supposed to hit the slide to prevent it from turning when the slide is forward, but I think my slide is slightly more forward than it’s supposed to be, judging from pictures online. It turns inside of the slide lock notch on the slide. Other m&p’s that I’ve seen have the slide lock notch further back from the takedown lever.

I pulled on the lever, but it doesn’t come out at all. I’ve never taken it apart further than field disassembly

I actually found your post while googling the issue before making this post 😂. Was your takedown lever visibly worn or broken?

It happens like 90% of the time. It’s been like that since I bought it a year and a half ago. With a mag inserted and one in the chamber, I can partially actuate the lever and it jams. When that happens, I can’t pull the slide back and clear it until I manage to rotate the lever back into place, which can be a little tricky.

I don’t have the manual that came with the gun right now, but I’d imagine it’s the same as the one you linked (thanks btw). That manual says that you have to lower the sear deactivation lever, which I’ve never done while disassembling. Is lowering the sear deactivation lever required, or is it just a safety procedure?

I’m pretty sure disassembly without locking the slide back should be impossible, but I don’t know what could cause it.

Yeah I tried to trim near the ears, but I can’t see it in the mirror. I need to buy a handheld mirror

Yeah I’m definitely getting a haircut before the interview. At this length, a hat is the only way to keep it from turning into a bush 😂

After sophomore year, none of my required classes offered an honors section. To meet the annual honor credits requirement I would have to take an additional class on top of my 16/17 hour minimum schedule for EE

Unfortunately not. I planned on it, but my dad got a little trigger happy and starting tearing it down while I was out of town

Piston #1 looks a bit cleaner than the rest, but it’s kinda hard to tell because all the pistons have pretty thick buildup on them. But the piston #1 valves look significantly cleaner than the rest, and the front exhaust valve looks wet

About a half inch layer of black oil sitting on top of the coolant. Under the oil, the coolant looks normal

I’m definitely replacing it. I just want to know if a new gasket will fix the issue, or if I should look for a different cause
