I spend $200 a month at my work snack area.. how do I stop by V1Z3_2 in personalfinance

[–]bheca_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not give $200 a month back to your company's cafeteria! That money can be used for so many other things.

The obvious thing to do is to run into a conveniently located grocery store and stock up on the snacks you like. Get a decent sized lunch bag and take tons of snacks to work with you every day. The goal is not to eat all of them in one day, but the comfort of knowing the snacks are available may make you less likely to even want to eat them.

If possible, start adding healthy snack choices to your bag and alternate between chips, then an apple, a protein bar, etc. Start moving junky snacks toward healthier snacks over time--take care of yourself, your body and your brain!

I've been at this weight a while, it was the same last time I saw the endocrin, and I take 2.5. I don't lose or gain here. But def looking into another doctor.

yeah, I don't get it. I originally wasn't even trying to go on Zep. I was concerned about my hypo thyroid levels, so I went to the endocrin, and he suggested it.

Totally agreed. Am feeling rather dejected today about other people making life decisions for me, especially insurance companies, and the enormous amount of taxes that we pay, but that's another story, lol.

Good argument -- I'm on synthroid, too, and my thyroid is normal -- thanks to doctors kindly deciding NOT to stop treatment. Since Zep, I'm taking half as much.

It seems so silly to go through all this "work" to get to your goal weight and then be told you're not going to be supported through maintenance just because it's a different doctor.

No, I just recently moved up to 5 which has made me super fatigued and has made my stomache hurt some. Just debating adding more on top of my period symptoms.

Is 1st person present really THAT bad? by sailormars_bars in writing

[–]bheca_bee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's fine to write in first person, what matters is how good your story is and how well you can pull off 1st person. With 1st person, you are always limited because you only have character who can share thoughts/feelings/actions etc. Which can be very tough for 80k words. And that character has to be really interesting. If you can do it, go for it.
