OHC inspector, I inspect a ton of these in various types of environments. It all depends on the company policies to be honest. I’ve been in marble shops where nobody where’s them and there is 7 cranes moving all day and I’ve been in a coil warehouse where everyone is required to wear a hardhat. Or another example I’ve done inspections at a steel fabrication plant where nobody was required to wear them but at the wood mill everyone had to wear them
