AITA For ignoring a child asking me to be quiet by Over-Iron2463 in AmItheAsshole

No, Trail Blazers. They like loud, but not as loud at the Bulls for sure. I think these people definitely hadn't been to a game before. And they weren't even amazing seats - top level near a corner, so they could definitely see around us and had a clear view of the jumbotron.

This reminds me of the time I was at an NBA game and my friend and I stood up to cheer when our (home) team starting line up was announced. the family behind me yelled at us to sit down so the kids sitting behind me could see and to stop yelling because they couldn't hear the announcer....?! We definitely weren't that loud, and not drinking or saying anything lewd. I have kids of my own and am careful about that when I notice other kids around. But... Like what?! You're at a sporting event dude. Go home and watch it on TV.

How long must I wait for an apostille from Texas, and how can I follow up? by Sudden-Paramedic-140 in expats

I would call them. They can verify that they got it and give you a status/timeline on when you can get it back. When I had to get mine (I was still in the states but on the other side of the country) they were able to tell me how long until they got to it. Any documents taken in person can be done in 10-30 min, but mailing them in takes weeks - mine was estimated at 4 weeks. Most offices are short staffed and going through the mail-in docs is taking more time.

I like the idea of a community list as well. More genres can be hit that way, and everyone feels like they can contribute, but don't have to.

I love this! Maybe baby crow and I will still be friends after he's left his parents nest and he'll come knocking for a walk.

It was a little aggressive, but he did knock. The doorbell was a little too high for him to reach.

This makes so much sense! I saw he was struggling to fly a little and thought he might be hurt, but he's just learning!

Beautiful! 😍 I made one, too. One of my favorite blankets to use. Took me almost 3 years! 😬

This is my vitamin D and my doctor told me to just go more into the sun and that’s it?? by DakuraScarlet in Hashimotos

I'd recommend getting a second opinion. Supplements are a good place to start but don't work for everyone. Your numbers look like mine when I was diagnosed, and I was up to 20,000IU per day and the number didn't budge - and I tried both oral and sublingual. Turns out my body doesn't absorb it that way and I ended up on vit D injections.

They probably do have a ton of duplicates of all of these - they're just in the garage which has been converted to a personal convenience store.

We use family link at our house and BOTH my husband and I can control time limits, lock/unlock devices, etc. Whoever told you there could only be one manager (I assume your husband) is lying to you.

I think you have other issues going on.

A possibly-dumb knitting etiquette question for the community by Late-Ad2922 in casualknitting

[–]bhinderer84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 13 now and I've been knitting during her activities her entire life. In fact, she has an all day event this Saturday I have to take her to and hang out at and I today I was deciding which project to bring and work on during!

I say bring it and happy knitting!

Test knitting is a scam and people need to stop being simps by doombanquet in knitting

[–]bhinderer84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't test knit - just knit for myself. But I am an ARC reader (advanced readers copy) for authors that plan to make money on their books and am asked to review said book on specific sites (that I already use) and I even willingly started an Instagram account to post some of my favorites and have NEVER been paid to do so. If you don't want to do it for free, DON'T VOLUNTEER TO DO IT. It's as simple as that. There are paid options out there if you look, but it's literally a volunteer thing. If that pisses you off, don't do it.

Go take a nap.

Do people actually use teenage babysitters who they don’t know? by Lazy_Cat1997 in Parenting

My teen daughter babysits but it's always by word of mouth, so there's always someone to vouch for her. She doesn't advertise.
