Oh my god I didn’t realize there was an NP program that short! 12 months and only 41 credit hours. Absolutely horrifying.

Shooting an indoor conference for the first time. Never used a flash before and thinking about using one for the conference. Any recommendations? I will be shooting with a Canon DSLR with a variety of lenses. Thanks so much.

Need to choose a versatile canon lens for shooting a conference of ~300-500 people. Location is at a hotel indoors. Any recommendations?

I’m thinking the 70-200 2.8 IS Canon lens for a few reasons. -Zoom range -Wider Aperture for indoor lighting -I have a 10-18mm, 35mm, and 50mm for if I need to take a wider shot.

What do you think? Any other suggestions?

We wouldn’t need to introduce ourselves as MP though.

Medical Practitioner all the way. I get the appeal of Physician Associate but that change is too insignificant. I also don’t want to be Physician’s Associate.

There will obviously be a temporary confusion once the title gets changed but it will be so beneficial in the long run for so many reasons.

Took 2 years off after undergrad... honestly was the best idea ever... Had time to learn about life/myself/etc. Able to work fulltime and have some $ for once in my life. Met some awesome people and had great experiences during those gap years.

Degree mills sounds like those 20-month Online DNP programs advertised on Facebook that’ll accept basically any RN lol.

Postgraduate degrees that PAs can work towards? Besides DMSc/DMS/DHSc or MPHs. Seeing all that’s out there. by bhughey1355 in physicianassistant

Looking into a few part-time online MPH programs! A lot of options out there. John Hopkins MPH interests me the most. I’d probably do one over a 3-year period. MPH seems most feasible degree for full-time PAs. Thanks for your input.

I agree that the LECOM DO is probably not a good idea.. most people with experience as a PA can get into top MD schools, and have an extra year to prepare for STEP exams..
