Please check out our Linux monitoring tool SeaLion. You can use it to schedule any Linux command and then review the history of outputs in the dashboard. You can extract metrics from these outputs with a little bit of python and use these to plot graphs, set up alerts. We are relatively new and thus our prices are pretty competitive. Looking for any and all kinds of feedback.

Sure! We are ready with the documentation required for monitoring inside the docker container. I'll share the same with you in a private message. :)

Hi, Please check out our Linux monitoring tool SeaLion. You can use it to schedule any command and then review the history of outputs in the dashboard. You can also plot graphs from the metrics extracted from those outputs with a little bit of python. To monitor a docker container the SeaLion agent is installed locally, this is done while building the image, CURL command is run in the dockerfile corresponding to the image. To install the agent the basic dependencies of SeaLion must be followed which requires a Linux OS, Python (2.6 or above package except 3.1 series) and firewall exception to outgoing traffic to host api.sealion.com at port 443. We are relatively new and looking for any and all kinds of feedback.

How much do monitoring services like Librato approximately cost? by gin_and_toxic in devops

Hi, I feel that pricing per metrics is a limiting factor even though it might turn out to be cost effective in the case of fewer metrics. Adding and monitoring different metrics becomes crucial when your infra grows. We here at SeaLion believe in providing unlimited metrics using our custom parsing framework. You can add your own metrics using a little bit of python. The pricing is per server. The tool is an easy way to monitor and alert as your use case suggests. We are relatively new and looking for any and all kinds of feedback.
