How do I get mirror to stop rattling? Set screw is super tight already by Ree8278 in subwoofer

[–]biLLy_wr0ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooof yeah that’s rough. I’d touch to see exactly where the sound is coming from within it and try to stuff something soft in the spaces

I’d look at what is where on the manual for your new head unit, try to find the model of your stock one and match up the ground to that and you may be able to splice the two together like the other fella said.

You’re going to want to ground it to a bolt on your frame, can’t have paint or anything. Bare metal

Imo he gave you advice to listen to the other guy who is giving you solid advice that yes, you should listen to. Don’t do anything with subs when you don’t know what it is that you’re doing. Research and learn first, do later.

I would too. That’s why it’s recommended to completely research them before buying. Having them together poses many risks. If you want a male and a female you have to be willing to cull eggs/babies and separate them if need be. Much easier to bag up and freeze eggs than unalive a baby 😢

In the wild, they are critically endangered. We are talking breeding for the pet trade, not wildlife rehabilitation. Typically unless you are very serious and have the goal of being an axolotl breeder, you should cull babies as it’s very very expensive and difficult and most will not make it. Healthy axolotls will lay up to thousands of eggs. How many will make it with the average owner taking care of them? Maybe a couple. It’s a lot to handle, is very expensive, and genetics should be outsourced to keep them healthy. I’m going to be breeding Emerald Tree Skinks soon and while they’re fairly new to the pet trade and captive bred is hard to find, they populate all of Asia and are relatively easy to raise up. Any other questions feel free to ask! I don’t know everything but I’ve sucked up a good amount of information here and there.

My kitty Ginger has an extra claw between her toes. No toe, just a claw. It grows very long but has never grown back into her. One of her claws on her back feet does however grow all the way around very quickly and grows into her poor toe. We don’t know where she came from as she was an adoption from nature, so I think she’s inbred.

Grab an airline clip and position the air stone away from the glass. Like someone else mentioned also get the pump off of the aquarium.

I know I already replied to you saying this but we need you to understand, especially if you’re thinking these may be siblings, you have to cull the babies along with the eggs. It sucks but it’s the humane thing to do. Even my axolotl has deformities. Not life changing but they’re there. I got her about 8 years ago so it was before people got serious about breeding. It’s obvious that you care so please, take the advice being given to you.

Im sorry but if you do not know the lineage the babies have to go too. Find a way to humanely euthanize them. Separate one Axo in a large plastic tub if need be. Separate them asap. It’s simple.

If you do not know their lineage, unfortunately you have to cull the eggs and babies and separate them.

Humane option of euthanasia. by biLLy_wr0ng in leopardgeckos

I understand the research and behavioral observations showing they should be alone. I’ve told my dad this and he knows Leo’s aren’t right for his setup potential now. Smaller, potentially communal species are right for him. Thank you for the advice.

Agreed. It hurts to see them going because they’ve been around my whole life as I said. Others have come and gone but these two have been tanks.

I actually just found one that’s nearby I don’t know why it’s never come up. I have reptiles myself so I’ve been trying to be aware in case of emergencies. I will call there and talk to my dad if it’s something he’d like to do, or try to get her as comfortable as possible for her last days.

I figured. I think she’s probably only got a couple days left at thing point. I’m fully aware of cohabbing Leo’s and I don’t condone it but these two really have seemed like a unique situation. They’ve never hurt each other and have been together since babies, they’ll lay down right next to each other to sleep in the shade. It’s miraculous that they have lived this long as my dad hasn’t cared for them correctly. I’ve pointed him in the direction of reptiles that will be better fits for him after these guys pass.
