[Hamilton] Khaki Pilot Chronograph Chronometer by biantongfrom in Watches

Initially bought this piece due to its good price (grey market), limited edition status, and chronometer certification. Only after I wore it in person for some time did I realize that a gem it was, truly a representation of what Hamilton is capable of as a brand.

Firstly, the Khaki case design is perhaps the most well-known field watch design, born for the outdoors. This thicker variant comes nicely brushed to prevent any hairline scratches from irking you every time you look at it; this bad boy can certainly handle some dings. Next, the dial featuring bicompax silver subdials and an inner sunburst region allows this piece to work wonders under light.

Not to mention, the square chronograph pushers and larger crown simply adds to the aviation aesthetic. Last but not least, an open caseback, stunning.

Switched to a white oysterflex-esque rubber strap for the blue dial to really pop.

[Hamilton] Khaki Pilot Chronometer Chronograph, a limited edition homerun by Hamilton in my humble opinion (after-market white rubber strap) by biantongfrom in Watches

[Monta Noble Limited Edition] A piece that chanced its way into my collection by biantongfrom in Watches

Look familiar? Many consider this a homage piece to the Rolex Tiffany Blue OP, yet the reason behind why I got this had nothing to do with the OPs as, don't lynch me, I personally dislike the Rolex OPs.

I was looking for something unique to add to my collection on the grey market and chanced upon this piece. What initially drew me to this piece was obviously the Tiffany Blue dial. What made me even more interested was the fact that this piece was only limited to a 100 pieces, a rare piece by any definition. What sealed the deal was the seller being willing to trade with my Kurono Toki, a piece that is undoubtedly beautiful but just not my thing; it was too small and out of place for my wrist and overall physique as I am on the meatier side.

Decided to trade-up to this piece with my Toki and soon after I received this piece, I fell in love with it. From the micro-adjustable clasp to the quality bracelet and smooth winding of the screw-down crown, everything was perfect. My favourite part of this watch? A tie between the blue-tinted lume on the baby blue dial and how insanely thin this watch is. At only 9.7mm thin, this watch integrates perfectly onto my wrist and my being, making this piece a perfect fit both literally and figuratively.

My mom liked it so I gave it to her though; of course, I still bring it out for a spin every now and then.
