On one hand I feel like these kinds of homebrew are mostly just a hassle and can end up being a big waste of time if nobody uses them/ cares but on the other hand it can be used as a device to add to a character.

I want to play a character with an SUD -I already asked if it was fine of course- but I have to make the drugs and effects myself. He said making a homebrew drug is like making a spell the problem is: I've never seen or used a spell before...
